How are all you new mummies doing?

Hell sometimes I think Luke I more mature than He is!

Kaedin you are doing really well being so civil to him. I would have murdered him by now x

Just made up spinach and more broccoli for the freezer

MASSIVE bag of spinach at a cost of 2 quid has got me 12 cubes! GAH - that is an expensive meal but I guess it's worth it :)

He had an Ella's kitchen pouch today while we were out - seemed ok with it although the consistancy was very watery? :/

I'm using the hipp organic jars still as my steamer/blender hasn't arrived and I can't rate them enough. Not watery, nice consistency, taste good and no dodgy ingredients. Plus they were about 45p a jar on offer as I'm getting 2 meals out of them

Luckily I already had a steamer and a blender / the only thing I've bought is ice cube trays and freezer bags :)

I had a pouch In my cupboard as a 'emergency ' outing pouch - will get a few jars to stash in the cupboard aswell - the hipp ones do look good - I'm just weary of anything with such a long shelf life  - I don't even have things in my freezer longer than a few months!

What flavour was it? Some of them are on the watery side, ryan blew raspberries in the mango one, that was fun. Lol x

Good luck tomorrow kaedin. Now feel bad about my news but I'm soooo excited.... Finally talked hubby into getting a perfect prep!! :-) a major part of my daily OCD trials is the making of bottles. I obsess with getting every step correct and sterile and double guess myself all the time. The machine will take this all away, and a bargain price of £66 off Amazon :-) I know it's late in the day but we will still get good use out it and can use it for next baby too I said! ;-)

Well we are having an usual night. Joseph has just got up deciding he would rather play in his car bouncer than sleep. Hopefully he will go back down after his midnight bottle but at least he is happy for now x

It was carrots parsnip and pear or somethjng like that!

JEN! You will never look back x

How is His weaning anyway ? :)

Very good, messy but so far he hasn't snubbed anything. He's having lunch and dinner at the moment. Something savoury and then something sweeter for pudding. Today he had cheesy spinach and potato and raspberry petit filous (fromage frais) for dinner.

Thumbs up so far!

Also got him weighed and he's 16lb 1oz now - has out on 1lb in 3 weeks

Good luck tomorrow Kaedin! I hope it's enlightening and gives you some much needed whoop-ass

Great stuff! I'm keen to start Oscar on meats and dairy - but am worried about giving him them before 6 months ! Can't shake it! He's just 5 months - shall I give it a go?

He's piling on the pounds now isn't he bless! Getting Oscar weighed on Tuesday :)

I thought I'd intro dairy first as it's in loads of stuff and cause he's on formula he's been having a simpler version of dairy. My friends baby is lactose intolerant and has been since she was born so had been on special formula.

Cause Thomas was 5 1/2 months I thought I'd go for it.

Perhaps just try a small amount of something if you're feeling ok with it.

I stopped using ellas kotxhen pouches as they're so sweet! I use jars or make my own - wllas kitchen tastes kinda like apple sauce no matter what is in it. Luke actually ate sweet potato purée today.

Kathryn, you might want to flavour your own plain yogurt rather than feed petit filous. They've got like a teaspoon of added sugar in them despite marketing them so heavily for young kids!

I've tasted Ella's kitchen (weaning talk lol!) and I found them watery too? I had a talk with my mum and OH and asked them to please stop going on about weaning Ruri and I'll do it when I know he's ready. Seems to have worked so far!

Looking through all my photos and can't believe how fast my baby is growing! He's getting bloody massive haha.

Yey for sweet potatoe lol! Yea I'm not a fan - great for the odd occasion those pouches

I had read about petit flouous but I'm sure one wouldn't hurt every now and then etc ! I have strawberry, blueberry, apple and pear purée in freezer so may try the natural yoghurt approach as I eat it with fruit anyway! Although I eat fat free and they need full fat so will have to buy some thinking about it! Damn lol

Luke has some organic apple and mango yesterday - they come in little pots like yogurt pots so are great for traveling... Hv told me to start him on textures now so this is a mash and 7+ but I mashed it up a tiny bit more and he did well on it.

I hate sweet potato and he ejected it in the ellas pouches but will have it from the jars which have a thicker consistency. Unusually add a bit of baby rice to ellas pouches to thicken it up. We use the jars now of he's not having home made - they're good for figuring out what is worth making at home
