We are waiting ttc no2 til out hols at end of april, mainly due to the flying thing. Is it a definite no-no flying in first trimester ?

I had a really easy healthy fuss-free first pregnancy (hes 1yr old now) and its proving difficult to wait.. I think once u decide u r ready. Im sooo impatient lol. I want to start trying...

Thoughts? Anyone else waiting due to travel thats booked ???

I thought flying was ok until much later on in pregnancy. I've got flights booked and we are ttc. I've flown several times since starting trying, if it turns out I'm pregnant at any point then I'll reassess and check with my GP/midwife and rearrange if I have to, but can't put your life on hold on a 'what if'.

I've just been to berlin for a long weekend at 6 weeks! Came back on Monday! Checked with midwife and absolutely fine.

Tips

Drink lots of water
Try and get up and walk about every 20 mins

Otherwise enjoy! Xxx

Ah ok, i thought i read something first time round but i might be wrong.

As u say.. What ifs... We are unlikely to 'hit first time' but u never know i guess...

I think they are more concerned first time too, as its all an unknown entity.

I was gonna say it's fine too. My only worry would be sickness! I can't imagine that awful feeling and being ill too!

Yeah it's fine to fly, it's just whether you'd be comfortable. I was considering trying a month before our wedding, but decided against it not because of the flying, but because I don't want to be bad with morning sickness on our honeymoon. We've spent way too much money on it and it's a once in a lifetime holiday for us, so don't want to be poorly throughout (I know I might not be sick, but it is a what if)

However if it's not a big holiday like that then just assess whether it's worth feeling a bit poorly (possibly as you may not get it) while away.

I am, mainly for selfish reasons really as we are off to Disneyworld so I want to go on rides and have the energy to enjoy it! Initially we weren't going to be going there and we would've been planning earlier but as we booked to go back last year I made the decision to try when we were there or when we just get back. My ex sil got pregnant whilst she was away and had no problems travelling back. I just remember how drained I felt so it has put me off as I don't want to ruin the hols for dh and ds. Although since coming off the pill feel really drained already!

I agree with you Kellylou to be fair, Disney world is not somewhere I would like to go when pregnant. We're talking about going next year so looks like we'll only have a couple of months of trying and if we don't get pregnant I'll have to come back here as we won't want me to be pregnant when there-as I will want to go on rides as well and like you wouldn't want to be tired while there.

Can't think of anything worse, long days, heat and the smell of food!!!

Flying is ok until tri 3 i believe.. Unless its a complicated pregnancy and me or consultants say no before hand.

We are waiting until after out holiday though. Not because of the flying.. Just that im currently enjoying being my my pre preg clothes again!! Lol.. Its taken me pretty much 1/1.5yrs since my lb was born to lose the 4st i gained!

So want to enjoy my body for a few more months lol.
We also like the idea of a spring 2016 baby and my lb will be 2.5/almost 3 so itll be a nice gap!

FX i catch my july/aug :) xx
