****** February 2018 Mummy's thread. Hello tri 2 *****

Hello baby!!

Sorry to hear that baby Ruth :( have they given you enoxaparin? If confirmed tomorrow then you'll probably have to take them for the remainder of your pregnancy daily until after delivery to prevent further VTE occurring. Exciting for movement though!

I had a dvt after I broke my leg, has daily injections until the pot was off so would imagine if you do have one you would have the injections until after birth?
Looking forward to my consultant appointment on Thursday now, hopefully should find out my c section date! x

Thanks for your replies guys! Can't remember the name of it. Think it began with a c.... can you take these things in tablet form or does t need to be a daily jab? Rubbish with needles!! Will do whatever it takes to keep me and baby safe thoughxxx

Good luck with your consultant appointment on Thursday beau! I have mine too and my 20 week scan on Wednesday eeek!! sooo excited xxx

Was it clexane? It's the brand name of enoxaparin. There are other anticoagulants in tablet form such as rivaroxaban but the usual prescribed version is the clexane for pregnant women :( sorry Hun!

Better to have the medication than another dvt!

Yes that's it Torino!! Clexane, looks like that's the main one used in pregnancy then? Fingers crossed the clots are just in my superficial veins and not the deep one... will update how I get on on! Hope you are all doing ok xxx

Oh sorry to hear Babyruth, good luck with your scan tomorrow x

Lovely scan BeauH!

Just been for my flu jab, had to go in the nurses room to lay down and have it because I nearly passed out! All the oaps were just stood in a line having it, felt like a right idiot but it's done now lol x

oh BabyRuth, you poor thing! Hope everything goes well today!

I think I felt baby moving last night, felt bubbles and moving at the front of my lower belly, I could feel the bubbles on the outside too!

Well that was fun. Asked the consultant to listen to baby's heartbeat since I haven't heard it yet. She couldn't find it.
Instant scan.

Baby is happily bouncing away all healthy.
Mummy however has added a stiff drink to the list for after baby arrives

Hi guys!!! All ok no dvt yeyyy thank god! 20 week scan to look forward to tomorrow at 10.30am now wooooop!!

Boobaby that's brilliant you think you felt baby I've felt mine a few more times ( I think) but it feels like the odd pulsing beat down there, I really hope it's baby as I'm 19 & 4 now so would have thought I would have felt more by now?!

TS that's great you got a scan today so glad your little one is all good in there!! And yep, stiff drink is definitely on my list too hahaha Xxx

Beau glad you've had your flu jab at least you are all protected now!! Xxx

They were really great. I mentioned that I'm very anxious and they immediately wanted to reassure me.

So glad you don't have a dvt. One less thing to worry about. Are you finding out gender too?

Urgh Holly, im with you on the thrush front. This is the 4th time for me now!!! I have no idea how to stop it - I'm well versed in avoiding perfumed soaps, tight pants etc but it seems to come back

seriously ladies, is there ANYTHING we can do to avoid this?

It's making life so difficult and I dont have time (work) to keep running to the docs for more canestan. they prescribe such tiny amounts.

I read yesterday that if its left untreated then thrush can go straight to the babys mouth when we deliver.
