Christmas 2013 Thread!

I'm done with O's gifts, apart from a few wee bits & bobs that I'm going to order tonight. I also need to finish off his Xmas Eve box, then I need to finish a few family gifts. I'll be glad when it's all done, I hate trying to figure it all out. I love wrapping it & giving it!

I love the wrapping! I went all out last year and wrapped everyones including LMs with ribbons and bows :) even if it did take everyone ages to get into them
I did the same with LMs birthday pressies, so cant wait to do it with her Christmas ones :D xxx

I am going to do Ava and oh my own advent calendar this year any ideas on what to put in the little boxes would be much appreciated tho I have a few ideas and number 24 idea came from this thread I'm going to put a chocolate with a note to the bedroom and there Ava will have her Xmas box and oh will have new pjs but as for the other days I'm stuck and I don't want it to be repetitive my mother done it for me and my sisters as little ones and I was always eager to get to school as the others where saying what chocolate they had I'd say I had nail varnish or lip balm clips etc! It made it so exciting for me! X

When James has his nap I am going to get all his pressies out and decide what will be for Birthday and what I'll keep for Crimbo.

Also need to start thinking about our tree. We're going artificial this year (tree will have to go up on a table so it will be easier)

Going to head to Westfield in the next few weeks to grab some Crimbo bits from Primark. I have James' PJ's so need some for me and OH lol.

As soon as I see any Bailey's on offer I'll grab some. I remember last year grabbing a massive bottle at 11am - James was less than a month old but they had the massive bottles on offer for like £12 !!!

For mummies with older babies what is your stance on Crimbo choccie and stuff like that? James has had the odd lick of choccie or ice-cream [stupid OH!! making him lick it like a little doggy] but on the whole we don't give him sweet stuff.

I'll be getting s a snowman chocolate to go in her Xmas eve box. But then she does have chocolate and things in moderation.

I have pretty much sorted everything for S; I'm re-using a lot of our nephews old toys. They're in great condition so don't see the need to buy new. Then need to decide for her birthday which is 6 weeks after Xmas.

I'm going to get those next baby grows too for her Xmas eve box!

Ava has chocolate in moderation not everyday although she would live it and only after her dinner she never has it for snacks during the day but I don't see the harm in giving a bit which is the reason I want to make my own advent calendar so she's not having chocolate first thing everyday (although it's only small) x

O will be 9 months at Christmas & he'll be getting a wee taste of dessert & a wee bit of chocolate. We all overindulge so a wee tiny bit won't hurt.

Have you tried Aldi's version of Baileys?? It's about £4 a bottle and it's really nice. Think it has a slightly lower alcohol percentage and not quite as thick/creamy as Baileys, but it tastes good and would definitely work for things like cheesecake and hot chocolate when you want the flavour but the quality doesn't matter as much. Last year we had the Aldi one for ourselves and only got the proper Baileys out for visitors

I'm going Westfield's on Friday, need to get the shopping list done

Somebody put it on their status on Monday saying 10mondays left till Xmas makes you realise just how quick it's going to come around I'm so excited x

Even if you don't buy chocolate/ sweets someone else probably will. I honestly think everything is ok in moderation. Our dentist told us that one day of lots of chocolate/sweets is much better than a little everyday teeth wise, so Saturday is sweet day in our house. Easter brings LOADS of eggs, Jake only finished his last egg a couple of weeks ago haha xx

I have already sorted all ruby xmas presents , I having wrapping paper and tags as well .

Just need to look for presents for my parents ETC now x
