Hi everyone!

Im back! I have missed you all! Phew...what a nightmare i have had with my internet. Talk Talk just cut us off for no reason and then they didnt know how to put us back on!!! Anway, i am back now (until they cut me off again! ) i have felt so lonely without you gals!

Glad to hear that you are all OK. I have tried to catch up on what I have missed but there was just too much of it for my brain to handle...you all started merging into one person with a lot of problems!

Everything is fine with me and baby! I feel movement and kicks everyday now which I love and I have my scan on Monday. I am desperate to know what team we are on! I feel great in myself but the only thing that is getting me down a bit is that people keep telling me how big my bump is for 20 weeks :( Has anyone else had something similar? My mum keep telling me how she didnt show at all at 20 weeks...it makes me feel like a freak! :(

I think we have quite a few 20 week scans coming up soon dont we as there were loads of us in TTC who got a BFP at the same time?

i was fed up with people telling me i was big for my date with both my girls and this one :wall: i think it depends on your body shape im only 5ft 4 and usually a size10, i think it also depends on your tummy muscles before getting pregnant and mine were non existant  so nothing to keep baby in.

Babydust, I am 5ft 4 too, normally a size 10/12 and I cant remember the last time I did a sit up so maybe that is why bumpy is so big!

What car are you going to get? Prices of second hand cars have dropped drastically over the last couple of months due to the "credit crunch" so make sure you get a good deal. My DH's family are in the motor trade and struggling at the moment to sell things so there are good deals to be had! I am finding it hard to come to terms with the fact that it might be time for me to grow up and get a sensible car :(

Sally  I have had to face that exact thing this week - my MR 2 blew up on Sunday (something about the way Dave was driving it when I wasnt around I suspect :shakehead: ) and we heard on Wednesday it will cost more to repair than it is worth (apparntly they have to take the whole engine out and replace it) so we are looking for its replacement. Spent all night on autotrader I found things like fiat Bravo's and renault clio's and then Dave comes up with a Ford Probe or a Fiat Coupe!!! They are only 2 doors and a 2.8 V8 engine or something like that - just what I need for baby and pushchair etc...... The biggest problem is I would much prefer something like that too......

Claire we cant believe how much car you can get for your money now - the prices seem to have dropped since christmas when we got Josh's car for him......... What are you thinking of getting?

Hope you get good pics at your scan on Monday - mine is Tues afternoon. :cheer:

Sorry to all who are feeling poo, having car trouble/decorating trouble etc :(

We still have stuff everywhere after the house move - and a load more in storage - just gradually trying to sort it all out.

Rom - I LOVE cars and have a 2 seater at the moment so feel just the same as you :( I know my baby is well worth the sacrifice but it still hurts!

Choklatemunky - Glad our scans are at about the same time...any feelings on which team your are in? I dont know why but I have a feeling I am team blue (not that i mind one little bit!) Hope you get things tidy in the house soon! x

Yay Sally's back!!
Sorry the carpet men messed you about BD! :(
We are thinking of getting a cheap VW Sharan or Ford Galaxy when the girlies born!
Good luck with all the scans this week ladies! Im excited to find what your all having!
:cheer: :cheer:

Welcome back sally

I'm not getting a 20 week scan - you don't get them routinely here.
We are thinking about going for a private one soon, but I am hesitating, don't know why! I think if we go i will end up asking if it's a boy or girl, but I would like to wait and see!!

I don't know if i'm feeling any movements yet. Still just ocassional pops. :(

Yes - just the 12 week one and that's it :( Unless they think there is a problem.
My hairdresser suggested I pretend i fell down some stairs or something and demand one - that's what she did.
I'm a very bad liar though.

Thats awful Kmac. I live in the Highland and Islands of Scotland and we get three scans. 12 weeks, 20 weeks and 36 weeks.

:( :(
I'm away to dig out the leaflet DH picked up from a private clinic in town... might have a rethink.
Really grudge having to pay though when everyone should be entitled to it

Also, I know it's a bit early to be talking about this but i work for East lothian council - and they refuse to participate in the child care voucher scheme

Hmm
I have emailed a clinic to find out exact cost etc.
I don't know if the midwife would do anything if i asked - there is no real reason to - apart from me wanting one!!
Maybe I should just say I fell down some stairs or something!!

Now we are debating - again - about finding out the sex. That's one reason I didn't mind not having a scan because then we didn't have to decide!!

Me again!!

Lea - did you just get married??
You confused me on facebook!!!

 morning all xxx
kmac thats shocking that you dont get a 20 week scan i didnt realise there were parts of the country that didnt get them till i read that article :( its mad the 20 week one is more important than the 12 week one  its so wrong that you have to pay if you want one  here in s wales we get 3 usually 12 20 and 36 weeks obviously i get lots more due to history of stillbirth plus im having twins xxxxxx

welcome back sally  glad to see your back on line  xxxxxx

hows everyones spd now the wet horrible weather is back mine seems to have gone really bad again :( looks like the weather was making it a bit better :( hardly slept at all last night plus everytime i did get to sleep i had that awful pain in my abdomen like a really bad stitch that wont go away it woke me up crying a few times  have spoken about it to my midwife as ive had it on previous pregnancies but not normally this bad this early on apparently its normal stretching pains but as im having 2 they are going to be worse as im stretching quicker and bigger than on a singleton pregnancy oh the joys of pregnancy :D plus im now getting all wound up about the next scan on wednesday

oh enough moaning off me this morning hope everyone has a good day xxxxxxxxx

Morning all

Gosh what an eventful week for everyone - Claire you must be gutted about the carpet - we had the same problem at christmas and it drove me mad - the whole house becomes upside down doesnt it.

Kmac I cant believe its the 20 week scan they miss out - thats awful - where we had our nuchal scan done they do reassurance scans for £65 which I didnt think was too bad, although I think I would have a word with your midwife first to see if you can twist their arm.

Lea we have been looking at the Galaxy - there is so much car for the money - also the hyundi people carrier, dont need one for just one baby but would be useful for us to pull our boat with.

Rach  SPD sounds horrid

Well I have eventually managed to get a picture of our scan

baby12weeks6days.jpg

I have been trying to upload the video to utube too as it would be lovely for Hannah to see her little brother/sister but no luck there :( although Josh came home last night from his hols took one look and said "that's just too weird!!" It really freaked him out :D

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Jane x

Gorgeous pic ROM!! :cheer: Oh I will check out the Hyundi!

Rach, mines the same! Definitely affected by the weather! Last night was just awful! I was lay in tears for about an hour then woke up every hour or so! :(

Kmac, I didnt get married no :( I have changed my name by deed poll! :cheer: Me and OH have been together 10 years this year! We should have been getting married about 5 different times over that time! First we called it off because I got pregnant with my DD! Then we left it a few years then booked another date, bought the dress and suits and rings etc! Tried to get a copy of OH's divorce paper and guess what? He isnt divorced from his first wife!! They split up about 16 years ago and he remembered getting papers off her and binned them! They werent divorce papers obviously so he is still married! That wedding date got cancelled! Then we planned to get married this year! He STILL isnt divorced! His solicitor was so crap! For over a year she still hadnt sent the papers to her! ? So we postponed AGAIN to next year! So we ditched that solicitor and I realised (yes I wish I would have years ago) that he didnt need a solicitor and we got the forms from the court, only to find she has moved and we can no longer find her! :( (I orginally found her address on a electoral roll but now shes not showing up) so he can still get a divorce but it will take longer and now I have gave up! Years of planning and all sorts for nothing at the end I have lost all interest in it! So took the easier option and changed my name and title! So now Im Mrs Mottershead anyways! We are having a party to celebrate our 10 years in October so really the only thing Im missing is wearing my dress which I couldnt wear while pregnant anyways! lol And I saved about £6000 haha bargain! ;)
Maybe one day when I can be bothered again and theres no more messing (like ex wives lol) then I may get married but it was something that wasnt too important to me tbh and not worth all that crap!

Now if anyone needs a wedding dress I have 3 going cheap lol! (yes 3! 2 red and one white! lol)

Claire so do I!!! Shame really as Dave really wants a girl  but I think thats more about living with an 18 year old son at the moment!!
