I'm worrying about this scan business now. I'm so scared to get one in case something is up
But then I think how relieved I would be to know everything is ok
I haven't go a mw appointment for ages so will just see how much scan costs. If it's not ridiculously expensive then might just get it.

Last night I was lying on the sofa and DH was rubbing my bump. When he stopped I felt 3 little taps - different to the pops I have had before. But there hasn't been anything since. Do you think it was a kick? Is it normal for it to stop again??

kmac i would def have the scan hun if you can afford it just to put your mind at ease probably was kicking it does come and go a lot at 1st depending which way baby is facing etc i have 2 and sometimes dont feel anything from the top 1 at all for days usually feel the bottom one all the time from 28 weeks you should feel at least 10 movements a day every day until then try not to worry hun xxx

lea congrats on becoming a mrs even if it was only deed poll and not marriage i think after everything i would have given up on the idea of getting married by now poor you i think what you have done is a lovely idea sorry your spd is so bad thought i was going mad thinking mine was affected by the weather lol xxx

lea i know i was thinking the same if its bad now what on earth will it be like when it gets much colder better night for me last night although i must have slept different as my back is really hurting today so looks like i cant win either way lol xxx

well off out for lunch to MIL today then gaz is taking luke karting at a shocking £35 per person and im waiting in for my carpet fitter to come and show me some samples for the bedroom and measure up hopefully wont be long now till i got a carpet
back to work 2moro im absolutely dreading it but meeting a friend for a cuppa first so should cheer me up a bit

Hia everyone

Well DH can now feel baby kicking which is great. He says it feels very strange so he cant imagine how much stranger it is for me! Baby is very quiet all day and then in the evening seems to start brakedancing in my belly!

Kmac - its awful that you cant get a 20 wk scan. I think, for peace of mind, if you can afford one, you should get one done...perhaps a 4D one would justify the expense as you will be able to see even more of baby? Down here you can get a 4D scan from £75 for 20 mins of scanning time. Oh yeah, they sound like they were kicks to me!

Rom - LOVE the scan picture. it is one of the clearest i have seen i think

Lea - sorry your SPD is so bad...I hope you feel better soon

Rach - Im sure the scan will be fine on wednesday...try not to worry. That said, im worrying about mine tomorrow!

hey ladies, lovely scan pic ROM its wonderful, im gutted i didnt get a 12 weeks one, gotta wait 4 weeks for my 20 week one and having the triple test next fri, im pooing myself but trying not to get to unhappy about it, How have you been Rach, how are the babies, can you feel them moving yet, i seem to be getting sore hips and its a lkiller in bed, especially when rolling over

Mel we had to pay for this one - it was our nuchal scan and was £245 - worth every penny though I think Because of our results we have been told not to have the triple test which is OK by me - dont want to go through that waiting again.....

Well we are having car wars here - Dave has set his heart on a Ford Probe!! I have tried to tell him how impractical it will be (two doors, coupe, low down, terrible fuel consumption) but as he is buying it I suppose I will have to give in eventually!! In all honesty I cannot find anything else I like better that would be practical for the money we have (we had hoped to sell the MR2 and put that to the money we have but it blew up!!)...... There is a lovely people carrier on ebay but he thinks it looks like a bus!! I suppose as he drives a van most of the time when we take the car anywhere he likes something sporty..... bloody men

£245 thats rediculous hun, i didnt get one because i had my dating scan at 8 weeks. I feel really sad about it tbh because at that stage it didnt look like a baby, and obvcourse im happy that bubs was ok, i feel like im not bonding properly not having seen baby at 12 iykwim. Its making me so sad atm, i just dont feel pg and i dont feel connected when thos should be the happiest time of my life

Mel it was only that expensive as it was the nuchal scan and you had bloods done too and a dating scan at 8 weeks - you can have a private scan there for £65 for reassurance. We are going to go and have our gender scan there I think as the standard of their equipment is so much better than at the hospital and it would cost £55 for the NHS sexing scan and only £58.50 at babyvision as they give you 10% discount when you have already had one scan with them.

I just always assumed you got them any way at 12 and 20week. Ive not had to pay for any bloods or anything. Glad your happy though chick thats a lovely little buba there

Yay on the galaxy!! Thats what I want or a VW (they look pretty much the same I think ) but I have no idea when we will get one! The thought of buying a new car now, while I need all new baby things then xmas and all the birthdays inbetween makes me cry ha

Well we decided to go Blackpool today! Had a great day but soooooo tired now! My bones ached and my belly ached a bit but not too bad really! Kids had a great time!

TBH I would have done the same! Why should you pay £1000 more? And as you offered to pay for re-advertising thats really nice as most other people wouldnt have!!

Yeh Blackpool was great! They are doing up the beach and sea wall but still could walk along the beach! Kids had a great time! Joe took them on a couple of smaller roller coasters and they loved it!! Gutted though I forgot my camera! But on one of the rides I got 2 pics When I get batteries for my camera I will take a pic of the pics lol! (still not got a lead for my scanner!? )
We had yummy fries which came in a bucket with a spade lol and the doughnuts! Im a Blackpool doughnut NUT haha I think we will go back next week! You know today was the first time I have EVER been to Blackpool and its not rainy!? lol Weird! haha

How are we all today??

For some reason I feel brilliant!!! This is the first time in ages!! I don't know why!!
I just feel really happy and excited!! Maybe I am starting to "bloom"?? Best not get my hopes up though..

I am still a bit worried about my bump. I still have hardly felt anything, and when I do I think it might just be gas
I know it's early enough yet though - I would just feel better if I felt something definite (which I think I have only once).

Off the point slightly but today i am wearing a new top!! I am especially pleased as I saw it in Next ages ago and really liked it but didn't think it was worth £20. I was in a Next clearance shop on Friday, and there was only one, in the right size and it only cost £2!!! I love it when that happens!!

Well lol, I have decided on a new pram! Finally this is the one I want!

I love it! I didnt like it when I first went to the mamas & papas store but I saw it again today and liked it more than the Herbie and the Loola when I put them together!!
LOL Only....... Im also going to get the Loola chassis (secondhand off Ebay) and get a new Creatisfix carseat for it so I will have two! Well I know how silly that sounds ! Especially as i was reluctant at the start to buy one hahaha
The loola can stay in the car and use with the car seat when I go out with Joe and when Im walking about (which I will be doing more of) I will use the skate!!
