Hubby is very excited, it’s lovely to see! I’m now scratching my head for boys name ideas, was all set if it was a girl but find boys names so much harder! Xx

Congratulations Niv. I may be biased but I think boys are super. I am not fussed what no. 2 is now I have my boy but hubby would love a girl this time.

I had my GTT last Tuesday and the really lovely community midwife rang up for my results at my 16 week apt last Friday. I don't (yet) have GD which I am so happy about. Managed to hear baby's heartbeat though not for very long as the little bugger kept kicking the probe. The midwife was amazing with my toddler too and let him help and gave him her stethoscope to keep him occupied. I love how excited he is about the baby. We are taking him to our 20 week scan and I cant wait.

does anyone else get a bruised feeling under their belly? like just where their pelvis is? i'm struggling to walk!
I must look so strange with no bump (still!) and waddling!
I feel SO pregnant, like it's heavy and there's pressure and stretching pains all around my pelvis but I don't look pregnant at all...feel like i'm being cheated out of one of the best bits but getting all the pains lol
How is everyone else feeling? x

Hi all, I hope everyone is doing well :) I had an early scan at 16 weeks + 1 and it looks like we are having a girl :D

I have started getting hip pains, albeit only on the left size, and only my when I stand, I'm fine walking. Surely at 16.5 weeks it must be too early for that? It's going to be a long 5 months otherwise!

Congratulations Cherry I have added you as team pink on the front. Xx

It's looking very even on the boy/girl front so far! Congratulations to everyone on your boys/girls and surprises :)

Did anyone else have a strong feeling they were carrying a boy or girl and then find out they were correct? Xx

Glad your GTT was ok babyscotcher and that your son is able to be a part of the excitement xx

Yeah I was convinced I was carrying a boy from day one and I am. 50/50 chance I guess!

Hey Elven, sadly I don’t think it’s too early, I’ve had the same thing since about 12 weeks. If it keeps hurting or gets worse your midwife can refer you to physio. Rubbish though isn’t it?! Xx

Congratulations on being team pink Cherry! I had guessed I was having a boy but I’m not sure whether it was a strong feeling or just because everyone else was guessing that too! I did have several dreams I was having a boy before we found out though xx

Yes that's true, it is a 50/50 chance. I guess I felt so strongly because I felt the flip opposite from when I carried my boy. I know every pregnancy is meant to be different, but I was convinced and would have been shocked if I was wrong.

Thanks Nivetha, I'm so excited to have one of both :) That's amazing everyone guessed you're having a boy. It's meant to be common to dream about your baby. I think I dreamt I had a boy when I had my boy too funnily enough. Congratulations on being team blue :D xx
