OH and his fam want to know but I'm holding out! I loved having the extra surprise on the day with my first
MIL said 'well let's see you'll probably change your mind' she's going to be disappointed!
I can deffo feel this one moving now, if you prod my tummy you can feel exactly where baby is laying and it kicks away when I use the doppler

Really excited to feel baby’s first movements but have no idea what to look out for as this is my first. Everyone says I won’t feel nothing for another few weeks yet anyway, any advice on what to look out for ? Some people say it feels like gas , but I can’t imagine it at all! Xxx

Aww thanks guys! I have been convinced since day one that it was a boy so I’m not surprised, but very pleased!

It’s nice to see the wee blue bird by my name �� thanks Mexico.

I have been feeling baby move a lot this week, sometimes quite strong too. Last night I said at the scan that the baby had turned around and sure enough when I got back on the bed he was completely the other way, really does feel like butterflies.

I’m seeing my midwife on Monday, and think I might ask to go forward with a home birth, but I don’t know if I am being mad.

home birth is encouraged these days, do it! so much more relaxed in your own home i'm meeting my home birth midwife tomorrow x

I’m the same as you Ron would like a boy as we have got a girl already but you can’t be fussy just need to be thankful that we can conceive xx

Yeah it was fine, listened to the the heartbeat baby is really low that probably why my hips hurt! My blood pressure was low though like 90 over something should be like 120! Glad yours went well! Did you hear the heartbeat? Xx

she didn't do the heartbeat just gave me some paperwork and stuff... my mum is a senior MW she's done the heartbeat for me so all is good
it was more because I'm super anxious about medical stuff, it's my first time seeing a MW so got referred for some counselling and extra support

Hi everyone - I haven’t posted for a little bit but good to read everyone’s news - so exciting to find out the gender. I’ve had a week off work which I’ve really needed. I’m not feeling sick or anything but I’m so tired - still waiting for the energy burst that’s meant to come with the second trimester. I’m really envious of those who can feel the baby already - at the beginning of this week I felt this fluttery feeling a couple of times- now I’m thinking may be that was the baby, but I haven’t felt it since. I have my midwife appointment next week so I’m hoping she’ll confirm everything’s ok. Hope everyone stays well.

How did your scan go Ron?

Is anyone else experiencing a pain in their groin similar to going for a long bike ride? Like swollen tender bits? Not a great discription but you get the idea!

I also saw my mum last week and she was telling me off for sitting with my legs crossed. Something to do with blood clots? Is this advice outdated or still relevant?

Hope everyone is getting over the nausea hill now

Yes I totally have pain like this! I’d struggled to describe it, but you’ve hit the nail on the head. It’s worse when I move, like when I first stand up etc.

I’d also heard about not crossing your legs so haven’t been, but it hasn’t been mentioned st any of my antenatal appointments so not sure how true it is! Xx
