August 2017 babies!

Ah see someone said that yo sushi was definitely a no. I have had the chicken sushi that they do in Tesco, but my OH thinks I should avoid the salmon ones which are my favourite :(

I'm glad you're feeling better about it being a boy though :)

You feeling better now Rose? Sounds like you are having a horrible time with these migraines.

I'm also feeling generally crappy. I'm so jealous of you MissCharli. Last time i felt great at this stage as well. I'm so tired still, have a constant sicky feeling all morning and evening. I went out for a drink on Friday night and wasn't in bed til 11. I really suffered the next day, totally crippling exhaustion and feeling i was was just about to vomit all day.

Sorry for the moan. I want to feel normal again.

After my 20 week scan the prospect of labour has dawned on me again and have been thinking about it a lot.
Anyone else? Anyone have specific plans like home birth or c-section?

Xx

Well scan went fab!! Baby appears to be fine and dandy. Measurement were all spot on and everything in the right place and working. Oh and I spotted the gender before the sonographer did. 😁😁 joining the blue team 💙💙 didn't get any good clear pics tho 😔

Yayyyy Angel, congrats and welcome to team blue!!! :cheer:

Sending love to all of you, and hugs to those of you feeling crap! Joining you there :( I am so fed up with this awful nausea after everything I eat or drink :( I am sure too Elspeth, I was back to normal more or less in the 2nd tri of my previous pregnancy, and had my energy back! xx

I'd love a water birth, but there is a probability for c-section for me if this mass inside me stays where it is :(

Yay for team blue!!

I have been dealing with a devil child the last few days which has utterly drained me. She is frustrated and wants to be on her feet constantly but isn't walking regularly enough yet. Her screaming is doing my nut in. On a plus she is in bed and I can relax for a bit haha!

Hope everyone else is doing good! Hubby saw bub kicking today, he is clearly a wee wriggle!!

Yay another boy angel, congrats :)

I really hope that you all start to feel better soon, that glowing thing cannot be a myth!

I haven't thought too much about the birth, I like the idea of a waterbirth but I don't really mind one way or the other.

Thanks Elspeth, I'm ok at the moment, few days migraine free and not too tired. I'm not usually in bed before midnight and am up several times a night with my little boy then up about 7.30 so I'm pretty sure some of my problems are down to constant sleep deprivation.

Welcome to team blue Angel!

My daughter was an emergency forceps delivery in theatre (they were prepping me for c section in case she wouldn't budge as she was distressed and my waters had broken 18 hours earlier. She came out with forceps. Fortunately I had no plan and was just 'go with the flow' so I wasn't distraught at not getting any particular style birth. Had an epidural.
With my son I was induced, I went into full contractions about 10 hours after getting the stuff put in, had an epidural and for hours later he was born naturally. But both he and my daughter poo'd inside (grade 3 meconium) so were a bit distressed but born fine. So my plan for the one is just the exact same - epidural and hope they come out easily enough! Bonus points if this one doesn't poop! X

Hahaha H4R I remember them from later on but haven't had any this pregnancy yet. This one seems to have got super active in the last couple of days though and I'm feeling little kicks a lot of the day - he is clearly going to be a lunatic like his brother and sister x

The sharp kicks are so annoying hah! My worst ones just now are when he rolls over. It really makes me feel weird.

Ah all of my movements are still really little atm (and I think I probably don't notice them lots of the time!). Damn my anterior placenta :P But he is bigger than it now so hopefully will become more obvious :)

Someone at work today was saying her friend is due to give birth today, but she only found out she was pregnant 2 weeks ago! I just simply can't believe that anyone can get to 38 weeks and not realise. Craaazy.

Jeepers, 38 weeks  I never really understood how this is possible either MissCharli!

My friends cousin 'claims' she didn't know she was pregnant. She was 20 and was complaining of back pains and ended up giving birth to a baby boy. I was like seriously?!

Neither do I but I'm sure there was a woman on here recently who it had happened to. I think my opinion had always been that it only happens to seriously overweight people where they don't notice the extra bulge - I have a friend who is massively obese but each time she has been pregnant she has sort of lost weight effectively because the weight just seemed to transform into the baby bump and she never put any weight on so I could kind of see how someone might not notice that. But then now I've seen stories of it happening to perfectly normal sized people too I'm mystified! Not just the weight either, all the aches and pains and morning sickness etc I can't imagine not noticing that.

I watching one born every minute and getting all emotional and excited about giving birth again! X

The weight and bump I can understand for very large women, but the movements and all of the other symptoms? With both of my pregnancies I knew straight away, literally within days that something was not 'right'. Even now I don't have a hugely obvious bump, or movement, but my tummy area feels so different. It is achy sometimes and solid and sleeping can be awkward.

I think that these women just must be really out of touch with their bodies. Early pregnancy for all of us wasn't easy one way or another, I know some of you had horrible MS and I had horrible fatigue. Even if they didn't notice the missed periods as a symptom on their own how would they not put 2+2 together? I really don't get it!

This girl was a size 10-12. I had an easy pregnancy last time and tbh I still don't get how you wouldn't know and im not skinny in the slightest. I have irregular periods but would always test just in case if I went over 6 weeks without a period. I just find it insane haha.
