August 2017 babies!

So tonight's excitement came in the form of a bat in our bedroom! So there I am finally thinking that the kids are in bed and I can relax and try to get rid of my migraine and my little boy wakes up (his cot is in our room still) so I'm up there trying to get him back to sleep and something flies overhead. Realise it's a bat and shout on my partner who is scared of flying things so I get the job of catching the poor thing. I think he flew into something while I was gathering stuff to catch him as he seemed half dead when I picked him up :( X

Horray we are all out of quarantine!! All of us feel like we are getting better today which is a plus!! My doctors called me and were so rude as THEY scheduled my GTT for a day the surgery us closed. They tried to make it 2 weeks later and I said no. Funnily enough they all of a sudden could fit me in 2 days before my original appointment. I wouldn't mind but the consultant is annoyed I didn't have it at 15 weeks after me having it last time. X

Yay glad to hear you are all feeling better Jill :) You all seem to have such nightmares with your appointments!

Ah Rose that doesn't sound good :( Be careful around bats though!

I don't know if everywhere is the same but we had to book our baby into nursery for August 2018 today, it may be worth looking round early? I was warned by a friend it's best to book before baby is born otherwise you might not get in, she was right as the only spaces left were nearly 18 months away, I thought it was a bit soon but everywhere we looked was the same! Managed to secure our first choice though :)

Wow that's crazy, haven't even thought of that tbh. Who knows what we'll be doing in 2018! Where do you live?

I know, I didn't expect to think about it until baby is here but as only 9 are allowed in the baby room it books up very quickly! We don't live anywhere particularly busy and there are plenty of nurseries so I'm not sure if it's like this elsewhere too?

I thought it would be like that with nurseries so looked early (but after baby was born) and I had no trouble at all. Even when I looked for getting both in the same nursery I never had a problem but that was for city nurseries and now I live more in the countryside I expect it could be more difficult but I won't have to worry about that fortunately x

Hi, wanted to share that the 20week scan went well - all is well with baby and we're still team yellow.x

~ Rose,
sending you hugs  and hoping you are feeling better this afternoon and no more migraine or sickness xx And that your boy is back to himself 100% soon xx

~ Spuds,
Hope your scan went very well, thinking of you! xx

~ Beautiful bumps girls!!!

My bump feels so uncomfortable, like it's stretching and is about to burst and sore inside! Pelvic and groin pain comes and goes, some days are worse than others. Nausea still here after I eat or drink anything :( Not throwing up, just queasiness for a few hours after I eat, for as long as I'm digesting I think. Til I am hungry and need to eat again :( Just bleughhhh

Sending lots of love to all of you xx
Baby is the size of a papaya this week(22) lol

Thanks Hoping4Rainbow. All is well and we are still team yellow. It was so lovely to see baby moving around happily. Got some good pics too.
Sorry to hear you still have the dreaded sickness. Mine has eased apart from the odd wave - i notice it more after travelling in the car at the moment, which is a little weird. I definitely feel baby moving now and the bump is developing to the point that I am going to have to get maternity trousers as I can't possibly sit with everything left open at work ! haha.

Yay my next 2 me came today. Looks pretty good and is bigger than I thought it would be! Which is fine cos it should last longer :)

Ahhh lovely Charli well pleased for you I know it's been weeks back taking about this!!!

Just started realising we only have 5weeks left of 2tri !!!!!!

I had a cold, personality dead old crow do my scan today 21weeks and wow what a witch!!!!

She rushed though all his vitals and measurements and at the end said right any questions?
I asked one question which I had a rubbish answer for...
felt so uncomfortable
She said wipe your stomach and now need to book appointment with your midwife

I said did you have any idea of gender and she said really rudely - No!
You didn't ask me!!
OMG!!!!

Felt so emotional all day just gutted!!!!

The scan pictures are crap!!!
I never once saw him on the screen just the parts she has to check to do her job....

So glad I had private gender - what a bitch!!!
:( :( :( :(

Should I complain??
Feel sorry for other women who will feel robbed of their excitement!!! :(

Also had hooping cough jab

Hope everyone's ok and progressing nicely... it's been a while since I've been on here so missed a lot I think!!

I know peanut butter I have had a lot of reduced movement.. I had one week where I felt him loads!!!
It was amazing!!!
Then 2weeks of very little - thank god for the Doppler - it's really helping to keep me relaxed about everything

And not sure who said about people touching their bump but I don't mind I think people are just fascinated by it and that's nice but I am very much all about the hugs!! Lol
I love hugging- my 3dogs get so much hugs and loves and my hubby my mum, family -friends and even some of my customers..
I have some foreign customers that like to kiss the cheek too hahahaha

She sounds like the one I had for my first scan. She wrote a rude comment about bmi on the notes too. I was lucky to have had total opposite for 20wk scan. We didn't want to know gender and didn't spot anything on screen.
I would consider offering feedback...how else will people learn ...plus, you will be potentially saving another frustrated and upset mother to be from the same experience. Little comfort tonyou now perhaps but in the long run, maybe more so.x

I also had a rude comment on my notes! Something like restricted by adiposity. I'm not stupid I can work out what that means... and nothing was restricted! She got all the measurements she needed and could see him just fine! Glad your scan went well otherwise though Spuds :)

Yes spuds this is what I thought I know not a women in the world would be happy with that!!
2scans we get over the 9months!!
Is it that hard for her to be kind and understanding of the feelings of an expectant mother after all it's part of her job Isn't it!!!
Old hag!!
Seems to me she's been at it too long needs to retire- no doubt!!!
It was even painful :( her pressing!!

Never mind roll on full term... can't wait to be done with hospitals now :)

We all get them they are everywhere!
But it's never easy when people spoil your happiness, your day ruined makes me so angry!!
Guess I need to toughen up ...

I've had this similarly awful experience with a sonographer in my first pregnancy Prrrfect!

So gutted for you, that it ruined your day :( Please don't let it spoil your happiness not even for a second xx I remember the feeling. Happens with some sonographers I think. Unacceptable!!! How can someone who has chosen such profession be like this with people?!? If you feel so bitchy towards people, don't choose a medical profession that's so "humane" in its nature/definition. Arghhhh drives me MAD!!! Hugs xx

Everything you said and felt was how I was, after scan, including the pain! Mine was young otherwise I would have thought same I.e. time to retire. I did think that about the phlobotomist though; she has clearly got to the stage where she hates all people. Lol.

I feel terrible for all of you having bad 20 week scans. With Athena, we had a man, which was unusual but he was amazing! He took so long going through everything and showing is loads of things which tbh i was going ooh and aah at but she looked like an alien

Sounds awful that so many of you have had bad scans in the past and poor spuds :( I remember having a woman with my first who was a bit abrupt but nothing like this. My private scans have always been lovely but now I'm really lucky in the area I've moved to as they seem to take loads of time even when I was going in with reduced movement and being given extra scans with my son they took longer than they probably should have and always always gave you a great photo of them. It probably is worth making a comment about it and just about how it all made you feel because otherwise they don't know there is any problem.

Feel like I've done nothing but complain this week but I got a second migraine last night (this time the other side of my head) and ended up crippled with pain throwing my guts up at midnight and having to have a shower as i got it over me. My poor little boy was up every single hour, nothing wrong with him exactly but been totally unsettled since these injections. Then when I got up this morning I was sick another two times. My partner is out for the day so haven't really had any rest but feeling better and have booked myself a pregnancy massage on thursday and have my 20 week scan on Friday so two things to look forward to.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend xx
