****** April Mummies!!!! ******

Hello guys, hope you're all well! Sorry I haven't posted for age, its been a busy few weeks at work! But I had my 20w scan and we're in team yellow! They couldn't tell us as baby was sat awkwardly although she said she caught a tiny glimpse and although she can't be certain she thought it was a girl! I was in there for 3 hours as baby was sat extremely awkwardly! But everything looks happy and healthy! Which is an excellent thing to find out, will upload a picture later, got a few lovely ones, especially of a little foot! :) Hope you're all well xx

Oh my god! 3 hours???!! My scan is at 4:15 this friday...i hope it doesn't take that long - they'll probably want to give up and go home. At my 12 week scan it took a toilet trip and a whole load of sore prodding and jiggling and weird angles to get good position and views from baby. And the sonographer said something about not much room - maybe my tummy muscles have loosened off by now and I will try not to have such a full bladder and that may help!

Glad you got such cute wee pics! :)

I know it's a bit early but just wondered if any of you ladies were doing something special this Christmas to celebrate your babies being on the way?
I was thinking about getting my husband a small present just from the baby and getting our little one a little something maybe a teddy bear that will sit in the cot

My 20 week scan is this friday and we are going to get the sonographer to put the gender in an envelope and open it together on christmas day as our present to each other!

We managed to get a birth pool on ebay for only £ 20 so we put it up yesterday to check its ok and its perfect! Come with the pump and everything so really pleased with that bargain! Bit scary sitting in it though - suddenly felt very real haha!

Hello everyone :)

3 hours in your scan alouise?! I had to go for a wee wander in the middle of mine to get baby to shift but I was only in an hour or so. These babies just like to cause trouble eh?!

I was in work this morning and my stepdaughter took the scan picture in to show all her friends - so this wee girl I do a lot of work with asked me if I was having a baby and I said yes....then she put her hand on my tummy (didn't really know what to do there?!) and asked if that's where it lived, so I yes and then she asked where it was going to come out  it never occurred to me I would get all these questions! My stepdaughter is 8 and has just started to get interested in the hows and whys of babies etc. but I can deal with that but I don't want the whole class asking me awkward questions! Haha. On the plus side, the teacher let me away early as there was nothing left to do and have arrived home to a napping baby so I've got a bit of precious free time  xx

Any other secondary teachers? I can barely make a lesson now without weeing, double lessons (2 hrs) are a nightmare. I have no idea how I'm going to cope after Christmas when I'm 30 weeks. If I don't have a TA which is the vast majority of lessons it's agony.

Now that is a really good idea that I could actually go with, just wonder whether OH would be happy to do things that way. It would only be another 12 day wait for us.

3 hours? Oh my gosh, I've only booked the morning off work.

Oh no gillyboos, that's rotten. I used to teach secondary mfl, but now in primary. Even so we have some lessons that are an hour and a half. I'm pretty sure work has to make allowances for you, can you speak to the head of department?

I'm having another tired week, tired and famished. Most be on a growth spurt?

I only just saw this - that's an amazing price! I had an amazing water birth last time but was looking into how easy it will be to do at home and birthing pools aren't cheap. My other issue is our house is RUBBISH and I'm not even sure the floor could support the water but I'm going to investigate more if you can get pools on ebay for £20!!xx

im knackered today! Came home at 3.30pm and I put a load in the machine and then walked the dog!

So hubby is going to hoover and wash up after dinner.

Gilly im primary too so but good luck! I don't know how id cope!
