Douglas your trick worked a treat. I took my trusty hot water bottle with me and she was able to get 4 full vials of blood today. She did have a giggle about me turning up with it lol. But randomly some blood tests had come back from Monday so they didn't all clot which was good, but I have a thyroid problem and have to see my dr tomorrow about it. My levels are really low, so presume that means over active.

Well I'm back... Mixed views really nt is still 3.8 but baby has all correct measurements for this stage heart at the moment looks perfectly normal but cantbreally pick up much until 20w scan. Baby had a nasel bone which is hopeful. We are going ahead with the amnio at 16w to rule out the 2 severe "not life compatible" syndromes bit I am feeling a little more positive today with what we discussed xxx

Can someone help? I just made some cookies for hubs work and had mix in my hands, without thinking I started licking it off and then realised it has raw egg in the mix!!! I probably ate no more than a teaspoon an the eggs are lion stamped do you think it's ok?

Haven't decided yet if we are going to find out gender... Going to get sonographer to write it down at scan, and leave it sealed in an envelope. New Years we will decide whether we want to open it won't be telling family and friends though xxx

I'd quite like a girl, although we want 2 so if this is a boy I will still be happy, but it will put more pressure on it being a girl second time around! Have a good relationship with my mum so would love to have a similar dynamic with my daughter.

That's exactly how I feel, I thought I could at least wait until 20 weeks but we caved!

We're keeping it a secret for a while, not sure for how long though

We've got no preference on boy or girl, and already decided on a name for each. I think that's why a surprise feels nicer for us personally because we don't want to know the gender AND name before baby arrives, going to get a girl sleepsuit and a boy one to take to the hospital so we'll be prepared.

Hi ladies, back again after a very busy time! Could I be added to front page please? Due date is now 13th April, scan date 25th November. 12 week scan went really well, was so exciting to see! All measurements good & got screening result back a week ish later saying low risk 1 in 100000 which I am chuffed about as worried coz hubby's uncle has Downs. Got next midwife appointment date too, feels like things are actually happening! And it is so nice now everybody knows
