****** April Mummies!!!! ******

Is anyone else suffering from insomnia? I've managed about 3/4 hours sleep a night this week and it's taking its toll. :(

Sassysugar - where abouts in Lincs were you?

I am gillyboos mine started even before the added worry lol. I just feel so tired all day then wake up constantly through the night it's driving me mad lol xx

Morning ladies
My goodness the 10 th of April is becoming a right busy expected delivery date! There's loads of us down for then!

Ladies im not feeling too great this morning and im hoping some of you have also had it. Iv got a stabbing and pulling pain roughly about the pelvic/pubic bone area in the middle. I know the other day I said I have had sharp cramp but this feels a bit different.

You all know im a paranoid Annie!
X

Aww bless. I'm not as far as you but this morning I started having a achy pulling sensation just above my pubic bone but nothing more at the mo xx

Lynne I've not had that but i'm not as far on as you are, hopefully its just things stretching.

Probably TMI but over the last week or so when i'm sitting down I randomly get a couple of little shooting pains sort of up my foof, it doesn't last long but is quite sharp and uncomfy - they don't tell you about that in the books do they???

Good news about low risk Becky - do you have any preference over birth at the moment?

Gilly i'm dead on my feet this week. Could not get to sleep all weekend and then couldn't lie in even though I was so tired, have barely slept this week and feel like I could just put my head on the desk and nod off.

Anyone else have problems giving blood? She can never get my veins, I think they disappear as soon as a needle comes near them x
Sent from Sarah ;-)

Totally! It took three goes yesterday :( I thought I was going to pass out, I get so wound up. I'm getting dizzy even looking at those bruises.

I take blood for a living and can't fathom trying more than twice, unless I'm 10000% certain I'll get blood the third time.

Some tips... make sure you're well hydrated before your test, if you've got a little hot water bottle or something to press against your arm before a blood test as heat brings your veins to the surface. Also, don't be afraid to ask the nurse to use a butterfly needle (smaller needle) which is much kinder and easier sometimes if you've got difficult veins! X

Luratraloora that's some bruise you had, you poor thing.

Douglas, thanks for the tip, was going to wear a big thick jumper and gloves but may try the hot water bottle. She had tried twice in right arm then called anaesthetist (sp?) but while waiting for him she tried left arm with what she called a baby needle, which worked but so slow, she even got a syringe to see if she could suck it out of me lol. A few weeks ago it took them 8 attempts when I was admitted to hosp, iv ended up in my leg. I just love being a pin cushion lol

Gillyboos, I used to live at scampton, I liked Lincoln, had C at Lincoln hospital

Girls with insomnia, I hope it passes soon for you x

You poor thing! That is awful - don't get me wrong taking blood can sometimes be so difficult but I just can never bring myself to try more than twice as it's such a discomfort for the patient.

The little hand warmer hot water bottles you get are perfect as you can sit with them in a waiting room before your appointment! I hope you aren't stabbed too many times!! Xx

Did you find Lincoln hospital ok? Heard mixed reviews about it and currently meant to be having the baby at Bassetlaw but Lincoln is literally 5 minutes walk away.

I've had all of these symptoms your saying and felt worried such as pulling and stretching. Insomnia also as well as terrible cramping but no bleeding thankfully! Does anyone know why this may be happening? Stretching/cramping was happening on my sides of my tummy! Xx

It's due to ligaments stretching and your insides being pushed up and back getting ready for the baby. It's not nice lol bit it's gotta be done xx

The things is women have to go through. It's amazing what our bodies do to prepare for a baby couldn't see a man coping with all the aches pains vomiting constipation spots mood swings birth! haha rant over xx

Just had my combination screening test results back I'm high risk with 1in10 I'm devastated now that means I'll have to have the amniocentesis done :-( x

Aw hun :-( high risk doesn't really mean that much though. Will you definitely have the amnio? When will it be?

Really sorry that you're having this extra stress :-( xxx

Lynne- I've been getting loads of cramping for like the last week and a bit... Don't think it's anything to worry about. Although its hard not to!! Must be so much going on in there though when you think about it!! Xxx
