_>•~*X*~July 2015 Mummies-to-be!!!~*X*~•<_

Morning Ladies,

Hope you are all well today!
I'm sorry some of you are suffering with your backs at the moment I hope it eases off soon for you!

I finally feel human again!! I've had my hair cut, nails done, eyelashes tinted and permed and brows done!! I have not had the energy or motivation to have any of that done since my BFP so it feels great to feel myself again!

I'm going away to Belgium with my mum on Friday for a week to see family so at least they won't see me looking like a yetti more like a mummy to be :)

I'm even being treated by my mum and auntie to a 1hr full body pregnancy massage on Monday!! Can't wait !

Baby has been like a little gymnast last night and this morning it felt like balloons popping took my breath away at one point!

xx

Morning everyone,

17 weeks today

Boosh, that's so amazing that you've felt movements like that, I can't wait to feel baby moving. Enjoy your massage!

Doppler - I'm not getting one as I would just give myself way too much anxiety if/when I couldn't find baby's heartbeat. Hopefully I should start feeling baby move soon so that will be my reassurance :)

No back pain for me, I feel pretty much normal again. Hope those of you who are suffering with any discomfort feel better soon, hope it eases for you.

Hope you're all well xx

Oh I'm so mad :slap:
We were told in Mothercare that their sale would last for the whole of January and end on the last day of the month, i.e. January 31st. We put off buying our nursery furniture until we had the funds but were really keen to make the most of the huge savings they had on a lovely 3 piece set they had.

Turns out their sale ended on the 21st and we've missed out

We can't afford the full price set so we'll have to look somewhere else now. I'm really not impressed with Mothercare at all. They annoyed us with our travel system and now they've got staff who give out false information.
:mervsmum:Apologies for the rant xx

Ah, that is crap of them.
Was it a massive saving?
There may be mid-season sales popping up before July I suppose. Big pain in the arse when you'd settled on a set though.x

The only good thing is that I can't remember the exact saving, but I think it worked out about a £300 saving, if not more. Yeah, true, we may wait and see if there is an Easter sale or something. Some places still have their winter sales on so we'll have a look elsewhere too xx

Ah sorry to hear about your grandad. At least you had family around you.

Which travel system is it? The Zoom? That's the one we have ordered from Mamas and Papas for the same price.x

Very sorry to hear about your grandad hun
Glad your appointment went well x

Sorry about your grandad

We got the zoom 3 years ago for our first and have loved it, its so sturdy, but so easy to use. We will be reusing with this LO too. I can recommend getting a foot muff for it though, not necessarily for the bit that goes over the feet, but more for the liner to go in the pushchair itself, to make it that bit comfier.

Aw yay, which colour did you two go for? We've gone lime carrycot and hood. Lime is so misleading though, it's more of a dull yellow to me.
We're going to get a footmuff too once baby has outgrown the cot.x

Firsttimemum I'm so sorry to hear about your grandad.

Well had my midwife appointment on Tuesday I was a little disappointed as my actually midwife was on holiday so had a stand in she said they didn't listen to the heart beat they say they do it at 24weeks, she took my blood pressure and went through my blood results which were all fine. my next midwife appointment is the 17th March.
Only 2 and a bit weeks till my scan can't wait :)
I mentioned about the headaches and no mention about preeclampsia where as with my first you were always told I let them know about headaches as it can be a sign :/

Hope your all well, do any of you have any snow ??? My LO is hoping to build a snowman tomorrow lol

Morning everyone! Hope you all had a good nights sleep. Happy 18 weeks Laura and 17 weeks KWarbee! That pampering sounds amazing Boosh! I could do with some of that. Hope you have a lovely time in Belgium.

So sorry to hear about your grandad firsttimemum xxx

Frustrating about mothercare KWarbee :-( Hope you manage to find something else you like that's still a good deal. We still haven't bought anything big because of house move but starting to think that's silly coz missing out on all these sales.

No snow here Angela! I love snow too and used to get a lot when I lived up north but hardly any here :-( Hope your little one gets to build a snowman! Aaargh got the frozen song in my head now, haha :-)

I'm going to try and get a doctors appointment today for my back coz I was reading and it said it can be made worse by just leaving it. I really need to stay mobile for as long as poss for my job so thought I'd better go just in case.
xxx

Hi ladies,

Firsttimemum, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandad. I hope you're doing ok

Bonze, thanks for that! We're going to Mamas and Papas on Saturday to collect our travel system and I saw their sale is on until Sunday so hopefully we might be able to spot something we like.

Angela, sorry to hear that the midwife wouldn't try and listen to baby's heartbeat. Mine told me it wasn't routinely done until 25 weeks apparently, but when she tried I had the horrible worry when she couldn't find it.

No snow here  I'm a bit of a scrooge and don't like it very much

Posted a thread about it but today I have a horrible stitch like pain in my right hand side. It's been there since I woke up at 7 so been going on about 5 hours now and is much worse when I move around. It's uncomfortable but I think it might be round ligament pain?

xx

Morning ladies
hope your all okay - back to work today :( all seems okay so far!! But shouldnt imagine itl be long before he starts being a dick again!.
we.ordered our nursery furniture the other day - wardrobe and drawers etc they are getting delivered next week :) eeeekkkk ive got so much stuff already - so exciting now - 100% feeling flutters today.went to a jessie j concert on tuesday so at least the loud music didnt shock it too much!!!
no snow here - pretty cold. I hate snow so much so fx it passes us! Xxxxxxx

I have odd days where there are unexplained niggles in my tummy area. The other day I felt a bit stitchy all morning then nothing. It's frustrating not knowing what is 'normal'. I'm by no means an expert but I'd guess at it being the ligament pain. If it carries on maybe just check with midwife to put your mind at rest.

Had 3 more little pops in my tummy today, I love it, so strange knowing it's my baby.

Just got my blood results through the post. Low risk of down's syndrome and spina bifida, 1 in 46404 :)

I can't wait to feel baby move  nothing definite for me yet.

I've called my midwife and apparently she doesn't deal with this sort of thing, so I've been referred onto a gp telephone consultation. What midwife doesn't 'deal' with pregnancy complaints?! :wall2:My midwife is useless.

Claire, which furniture did you get? We're browsing at the moment.

Wow Crawkay, those results are definitely low risk. Mine were 1 in 9300; I fretted for a while as I didn't think it was low risk enough. My OH talked some sense into me though.

xx

Ha, that's brilliant. A midwife who doesn't deal with pregnancy complaints. You've got a corker there!
At least they're putting you through to someone though.

What's considered high risk? Something like 1 in 250? I'd say you're safe enough with almost 1000!
Isn't it silly what worries us though? I bet you wouldn't think twice about those numbers if they were someone elses.x

 I know!! This is the same midwife who talked about her 'virgin' cervix in front of my poor OH. Unbelievable! A GP registrar called me and didn't know what to say or advise so now I'm waiting for someone else to call

I think 1 in 150 is classed as high risk. Ours was 9300, so almost ten thousand. Exactly, that's so true. With someone else it would be so different, I would say not to worry at all. Pregnancy is just a massive learning curve with lots of little and big things that can worry you xx

Ugh, I was being a thicky there. Missed off a zero. I was aiming for ten thousand not one thousand

Crawkay, our Zoom is black - when we bought it 3 years ago there wasn't a choice of colours, other than for the car seat, so we went with black for that so it matched the rest.

Think I'm going to get a new liner and footmuff for this LO though, since I'm not buying a whole new travel system at least I can personalise it with colourful accessories. Might also get a new baby change bag and go for one of the more expensive ones that I refused to even consider for Ben. Since all we need to buy this time round will be a few clothes, and a few bits and bobs it means we can afford to spend a bit more on things we wouldn't have first time round.

Kwarbee - sorry to hear about pain. As others have said, I've had the odd twinges here and there, currently am a bit uncomfortable right at the bottom of my pelvic bone, especially when I walk, but have to describe it more as discomfort rather than real pain. Although I struggled to get comfy when trying to sleep on my left hand side last night - again, just discomfort in my hips and pelvis. I didn't really have this with Ben, so it's a bit strange for me.

Then again, this pregnancy does just feel a bit different than it did with Ben. I've been so much more tired, although most of that could just be being older and having a toddler already! But my boobs are totally different this time and I generally feel a bit rubbish. With Ben I really glowed and loved being pregnant all the way through, but this time that feeling really hasn't kicked in at all. I think this is why I am so convinced I'm team pink. Well, will find out on Saturday!!!!

Midwife appointment tomorrow, hopefully she'll try and listen to the heartbeat. I hope so, I've felt a few flutters over the last few days so fidget is living up to it's name, and I hope this will encourage her to have a go at listening for HB, but we'll see.
