Thanks loretta glad I'm not on my own
I've just sat on the sofa again and it's happening again had some sharp ish pains too
Might be the stress from today too and I don't think baby was happy with the prodding of the scan yesterday to try and get her to move her legs :( x

Thanks Laura, good to know they were pretty confident. I guess with private scans where all they are looking for is gender and not doing all the NHS health checks they can spend more time and be a bit surer.

Had a viewing on our house today. Sounded really promising as they were talking about what they wanted to do with it. Will see he next week goes on that. Other than that today have spent day feeling a bit uncomfortable. Sneezed at lunchtime and had really sharp stabbing pain in lower abdomen, and have had period type pain all day since, with a few further sharp pains. Am sure all is fine, but might phone midwife tomorrow if still getting sharp pains. I know some achy stretchy pain is fine as everything is growing and changing, but but unsure of sharp pain. Hope everyone else is doing OK, looks like it's been pretty quiet on here today, guess everyone is having busy Sundays!

Morning ladies

I felt my first flutters yesterday!!! At first I dismissed it but then it happened 3 times in the space of 10 minutes and then when I was in bed twice more in the space of 30 mins!!

It felt like felt like bubbles fizzing up my tummy to the right of my bump (don't know why but I thought I'd first feel it in the middle of my tummy :eh:) and then when it happend a 2nd and 3rd time I knew it had to be baby - it's a sensation i've not felt before not like a gurgling tummy or anything and then when it happened in the exact same place when I was in bed I just knew!

I can't wait for it to happen again but I know it can be quite sporadic when you feel it to start with!

Can't quite believe I've felt it so soon! Literally right on 16 weeks!!
xx

Morning ladies! Haven't been on in a while, been away visiting family. Hope you are all well? Iv have seen a lot of ladies asking after Lacey, hope all is ok??

Congrats to the ladies who have had scans and found out if they are team pink or blue, all very exciting!

Lovely that you have started to feel movement Boosh, must feel amazing, I can't wait

Me and hubby agreed that we weren't going to buy anything for baby until after our 20 week scan...turns out we couldn't wait!!! This weekend we spent a small fortune in mothercare. We went for the Classic Winnie the Pooh theme for bedding etc. We ordered a gorgeous Silver Cross pram, and we even bought our monitor, bath set , Moses basket and cot.

Back to work today and feeling a bit naff, got a cold again! Feeling sorry for myself, and just keep huffing and puffing.

We saw all of my family who live quite far away this weekend at a wedding, they all commented on my 'bump' and how far along I looked. I figure it's just bloat, but am starting to wonder myself?? Just feel silly thinking I have a bump this early on in my first pregnancy?? Xx

Kaylip, it was amazing when I realised it couldn't be anything else!
I have a fair 'bump' going on and this is my first baby too! Under my bellybutton feels more solid than above but it's definatly not bloat anymore!
Xx

Hi ladies, feeling the need to vent a bit today. I am feeling totally stressed out. So our house is up for sale because we want to move to an area with better primary schools. Our ds his just turned 3 and we will have to finalised our school application for him by January next year, so we need to get all moved and sorted by then. Anyway, there are 5 primary schools in the area we want to move to. 3 are outstanding with Ofsted and have good results. One had a good ofsted rating and I was happy for ds to go there, but the latest results that were published last week now show the school performing below national average. The only houses I like are currently in the catchment area of that school. I know its a bit silly stressing about this now, but the whole point of moving is to live near a god school and now I'm really worrying we won't be able to do it. Its really distracting me today. I guess its because we had a viewing yesterday and I just want to get moved and sorted in the next couple of months. I'm usually fine, its just stressing me more than normal today! School is such a massive thing for little ones and we want to give them the best start possible.

Hi everyone

Lovely bumps, ladies. Boosh, that's so amazing that you've felt your first flutters. I thought I'd felt bubbles but I'm not so sure as I haven't felt anything in a few days or so. Can't wait to feel her moving properly. Kaylip, I had a bump from about 10 weeks! It was all bloat then but it was really rounded and I got a lot of comments. I was really proud of it :) enjoy the comments.

Awh Toni I'm sorry to hear that, can imagine that's quite stressful, especially as that was one of your main reasons for moving. Did the Ofsted report say why the school was below average? Was it a performance thing or a facilities thing or? A friend of mine has a son who attends a school that is classed as 'requires improvement' and he's doing great. She's advised me to basically ignore Ofsted reports, although it's hard as it's really the only thing to go on when you're looking at schools, unless you know about it from word of mouth. If it really bothers you then maybe look in those other areas where the schools are outstanding? I don't know much about it all to be honest, but good luck. Hope it doesn't all become too stressful for you.

Also, about a scan at 16 weeks. I was 16+3 and asked them beforehand how reliable it would be. They said to me 99%, as long as baby isn't in an awkward position. It's never 100% but they probably wouldn't say either way if they weren't sure. Mine told me they would ask me to come back for a complimentary scarn if they couldn't tell. Luckily, our little girl wasn't shy and it was very obvious that she was a girl.

No news on Lacey?

Hope you're all well xx

Thanks Kwarbee - it's not the Ofsted report that I am worried about it's the Key stage 2 performance statistics. They were really good 2 years ago, but they have really dropped since then and are now below national average. I know what you mean about not relying on Ofsted, DH is a teacher so know all about what goes on with Ofsted.

It's all stupid stress over nothing at this stage, we still haven't even had an offer on our house, so we are no where near moving. So who knows where we will end up living or what school catchment we'll be in. I guess I'm mostly stressed about not selling out house in time and the only thing I can do is look at possible houses to buy, then stress about whether they are in the right catchment area!

Thanks for the reassurance on the 16 week scan. I need to try and think about and look forward to that rather than thinking about houses and schools!

Still no news on Lacey - I've checked here other thread in the general pregnancy chat where she was talking about here blood booster, but there is no update there either. Really hope everything is OK for her.

I txt Lacey last week and she was ok, but haven't heard from her since and have asked if shes ok...Will keep you posted if I hear from her.

xx

Hope no news is good news with Lacey :/

I've definitely been feeling little popping bubble type feelings and got a weird sort of feeling today, a bit like when you go over a big dip in the car. I've found it seems to happen after a fizzy drink. Bought caffeine free coke tonight to test my theory.x

I'm at that dodgy stage where my normal jeans are not comfy by lunch time, but the maternity trousers I've found are still too big. Tried a belly band last week and it was 'ok', but not great, plus as that was doubled over it made me look pretty big. This weekend, I discovered some maternity trousers in H&M. OMG they're so comfy. I still have the belly section folded over as it's too big, but they don't feel like they're falling down. I don't know if they'll see me through to full term, but for now they're a godsend.

No sign of feeling baby yet. Just getting the muscle-pull feeling just above the pubic bone that feels like I did 300 sit-ups yesterday. Every day.

I'm at that stage too Loretta. My work trousers are too tight now, especially today, but I'm not big enough to need maternity trousers. I don't want to go and buy bigger trousers just to have to buy maternity trousers in a few weeks.x

Evening ladies I have my next midwife appointment tomorrow at 11am.
I need to admit to myself I'm getting bigger my tops are starting to get to tight :( I feel huge. My OH said last time round at 9months I wasn't this big joking on cheeky bugger he is.
As for feeling baby I have had a few flutters, I m eating like a horse hence OHs comment lol, But I feel empty it's a weird feeling. Also last night for the first time I felt sick not sure what's up with that :/

Boosh & Kaylip - lovely bumps ladies :)

I keep feeling bubbles on my left hand side - it makes me smile as I think its our little baby - can't wait to feel them properly.

I have been wearing leggings, I got some maternity jeans for under the bump - but my bump isn't big enough - so going to try over the bump ones and try fold over the band if its too big! I said to hubby my leggings are feeling a bit tighter - my bump is definitely firmer every day.

We are at the midwife for my 16 week appointment on Thursday - I'm so nervous about it and our 20 week scan. I seem to be having more energy so am taking advantage of it!

Hope Lacey is ok

xxx

Oh, and following on from the 'too many sit-ups' comment, is anyone else tender in the tummy? Things like, when I'm cleaning my teeth, if I lean on the sink, my tummy's sore? Assuming normal?

Lovely bumps ladies! They look good. Mine is becoming more bump. Thought I felt something on saturday when we were out. We went to a karaoke bar and I could feel something fluttering, thought baby was showing it's disapproval to the loud music!! At ballet tonight I was beginning to think I'll have to stop doing the floor workouts soon!

I hope that Lacey is alright!! Getting a little worried!! Xx

Morning ladies. Woken up with horrific abdominal pains :( making me feel sick :( have my 16w appt today at 130 so will ensure i say something to her about it aswell!
Hope lacey is okay! Xxxx

Morning ladies,

Hope everyone is ok today?
Claire I would totally mention the pain to your midwife - it may be you slept funny or could be growing pains but best to get checked out.

Was thinking about Lacey and wasn't it around now that her OH was due to come over from the States for a while so it may be that she is spending her time with him hence the radio silence? I hope it is that and there is nothing wrong!
xx
