Awh Toni, I'm so glad to hear that your scan went well. Huge congratulations on being Team Blue how exciting!

Crawkay, I've had loads of bump comments from people who already knew but I also got my first 'are you expecting?' from someone who didn't know yesterday. Very risky but it does look really obvious with me now. The colleague who asked me has a daughter who is also pregnant, due July 1st, expecting a girl and hoping to call her Olivia (our current name choice)...how weird is that?!

Maternity trousers - My work ones became far too tight a few weeks ago so I bought some maternity ones from New Look. They don't have the stretchy bit that goes over the bump as I'm not big enough for that yet, they just have stretchy sides that are adjustable. Very comfortable.

Having an anxious day today. I know it's still early for first baby but I really want to feel some movement from her. 4 people asked me on Thursday whether I'd felt her move yet and one said 'I'm sure you have' when I said I wasn't sure that I had. Makes me worry and wonder whether I should've by now, but I'm not convinced that I have.

Forgot to say - I had an antenatal appointment yesterday as I had a heart murmur as a child so they do an extra check up apparently. There was a bit of a protein in my urine and the midwife said 'there's a slight link between protein in urine and still births'... What a wonderful thing to tell an anxious person.

I had the option of listening to baby's heartbeat but after last time when they couldn't find it, I decided to say no. I wish I had now but I know if they couldn't find it then I would just freak out.

Sorry to hear you're having a dodgy day Kwarbee. I was a bit like that yesterday. I didn't like the fact that it's almost 3 weeks to any contact with medical people.
I'm sure it won't be long till you start feeling little bits. My feelings are still only teeny and probably only notice them 2/3 times a day.

I keep seeing people with little babies and thinking 'it was ok for them, surely it'll be ok for me'. Helps a little bit, haha.

Olivia is pretty. Must be easier to think of names now it's only girls you have to think about.x

Hi Everyone, sorry hubby has been hogging the laptop since we finally got home! Like I said earlier, scan went really well and everything was measuring fine, and even though everyone I know thought I was having a girl including me and my son, we are definitely having another little boy. So now we need to think of some boys names. I've got a long list of girls names I like, but no boys ones. At least we've got about 24 weeks to think of one! Sonographer did find out that my placenta is anterior unfortunately so not going to feel too much movement with this little one. Although saying that I have felt some movement already, so maybe we just have a strong swimmer in there. Fidget was wriggling around at first, then he got the hiccups. We then got a 4d preview at the end of the scan and by that time he was asleep and was sucking his thumb - so cute! Will be going back for a 4d scan at 25/26 weeks.

I just fell over - down like a sack of shit managed to bend my legs so my knees took the brunt of the fall! onto concrete so wasnt fun! Hope i didnt hurt baby i dont know if i fell on belly or not i kind of just got up really quickly to act like nothing happened! What do you think?xxxx

Kwarbee I feel like that if I haven't seen a medical person for a while! My 16week check was 17+5! Sure all is fine, I haven't felt anything yet; at least I don't think I have!!

Claire if your knees took the brunt (ouch) sure baby will be fine they are atill quite low down but if you are anxious give the midwife a call!!

Kwarbee know and understand why you didn't listen to heartbeat after first time
Won't be long now till next scan and see baby wriggling away in there
And I'm sure you will feel baby soon enough try not to worry
If you have any worries then do contact your midwife sure she will help

I can say I deff felt baby kick a little this morning only a tiny kick but did it a couple of times
Even oh was quick enough to feel it before baby moved x

Great pictures Toni! Congratulations on joining team blue! I'm so certain I'm on te blue too! Boys names are what we're struggling with also! Which Leeds hospital have you opted for? We're going to LGI as we put on the spot to choose and it's closer to where we live than Jimmys! Don't really know much about either hospital to be honest!!

Claire I hope that you are ok? If you have any concerns just ask your midwife!!

Kwarbee that's awful. Some people really don't think about what they're saying before they say it do they? Did you ask her to ellaborate on that and explain what she meant! Those 2 words are the most awful to hear aren't they? If you have any concerns seek a second opinion or contact the maternity ward at your hospital!x

Kwarbee, horrible words. I wonder if they sometimes forget about the human element. If they deal with this subject all day every day, it could become a little routine and matter of fact?

Loving scan photos. Got another three weeks to wait for mine though. Midwife Tuesday for my 16-week check. At a mere 17+3.

Impressive bump going on there Lacey. Mine is definitely starting, exciting

Bit of a weird feeling for me now that we're in February. The baby I lost in July would have been due on 25th. I have moved on from the sadness but I don't think I'll ever completely forget that he/she existed, even if only for a few weeks.

Just so glad that we have a second chance and something happy to focus on

Loving the bump pics i look huge compared though! :/ my knees are better today just abit bruised and cut went swimming today and as gravity was taking its course and could feel belly being pulled so defo need to invest in a maternity costume! Think ive had a few flutters today.....sometimes i wonder if im imagining it! Midwife is calling me tuesday so fx she will keep me.on as ive thought and thought about it and i dont want a new one. Panicks me! Baby furniture coming tues aswell buying so much in sales atm!oopsie! Today i baught stuff for nxt xmas!hahahah
