Hi lacey :)

i went to aldi today (never normally shop there!) But they have their baby event. Stocked up on size 1&2 nappies :) and wipes.xxx

We called in last night, just to look, had no intention of actually getting any baby stuff yet, and ended up filling the fridge as well.

I'm not remotely superstitious, just don't fancy having loads of baby stuff around the house quite yet, I think once 24 weeks arrives I'll start the proper shopping :) x

Hey Lacey, glad all's well. Try to pack some rest into that busy schedule, kay?

I've been wearing big jumpers to work for weeks as it's been cold. Office got hot today, so I took my jumper off, leaving me wearing a tight-fitting top that I hadn't expected to be on show. I think it's fair to say I'm changing shape now. Looking proper chunky. To be honest, it was as eye-opening to me as to the others in the office - I'm obviously keeping watch of my shape changing, but when you're in multiple layers, it's easy to think it's the layers that are making you look bigger. Not today!

What's peoples opinions on maternity trousers?

I don't have a proper bump yet but my trousers are uncomfortably tight now. Looked in both New Look and Next tonight and couldn't find what I wanted. Would I be better off just getting a size up in trousers for now and then looking at maternity when a bigger bump appears?

I'm mixed on maternity trousers. i've bought a couple of pairs in the sales, but I'm not really needing them yet. However, I did get a pair of skinny maternity jeans in H&M and they don't seem to have such a big tummy section. I had some of it turned over, but they were just soooo comfy straight away. The other option I'm trying is the belly band, which are helping me with trousers that I want to undo, or with maternity trousers that are just a little too big. Might be worth a try.

I really need some trousers and jeans too
My jeans which I love are just too uncomfortable on my tummy now it's almost making me feel sick
I am going to have a look online as not many shops stock maternity ranges
I hear asda and tesco jeans and leggings are good
Can get a pair of jeans for about £10 and there comfey x

Asdas 2 pack of maternity leggings are only £12 x

Tesco have nothing great no trousers jeans at all online :(

I got some lovely work trousers from new look, £12 and sooo comfy!

Looked at some maternity jeggings in matalan but they are so ugly haha so didn't get any! Might have a look at the asda/Tesco ones

Really bad idea... Must stop watching food programs at 10pm at night
Just sat down to a ham and pickle cob with loads of slices of fresh cut cheese on the side
Not good :( lol x

Just asked oh if we had any ice cream. Nearly a full pot of Ben and jerry's in one sitting. Oops?

Having a really emotional night :( i was told.on tuesday that my midwife was changing and initially i waent concerned as thought "they all do the same job" but for some reason tonight got really panicky about it and contacted her to basicwlly tell her that! She said she could keep me but id have to have all checks done at mat unit as she wont be at my docs. Fine with me - so thats sorted.......why cant i stop crying?!? Its like that one thing got to me..........and ive been crying for about an hour now with no real.reason :( please tell me im not the only one this happens too?!? I feel such a dick! Xxxx

Katyjane, yes going to meet your baby for the scan. Had the 8 week one there and it was a lovely experience. Having two scans also means we can have a 3d one half price, so need to find out about that tomorrow!

For work I'm wearing maternity dresses with big cardigans and knee high boots. I tried my maternity tights with them, but they wouldn't stay up, so just picked up a few pairs of next size up tights and they are great. Leaves me comfy at work, but still smart. At home I'm either in leggings or I got some maternity yoga pants from Dorothy Perkins last time I was pg. They are really comfy and don't have such a huge tummy section. I am also wearing maternity jeans, but need a belt to keep them up and there is too much over bump section on them for now which can be annoying. It's a good job it's winter and big jumpers can cover these things up, trying to wear these in summer when you don't have a big bump must be a nightmare.

Morning everyone. Hope you're feeling a bit better this morning Claire. I had a night like that last week- literally couldn't stop crying for ages and my poor OH kept asking what was wrong and I just didn't know. Crazy hormones! Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend planned xxx

Hope all goes well at scan today Toni. Looking forward to hearing your news :-)

What's everyone thinking of doing about nursery furniture? Seems loads more expensive than normal full sized stuff so I can't decide whether to just go for that? Xxx

Lacey!! There she is! Glad you're ok x

Claire I'm a sobbing mess at the moment! Cry at anything! Glad it's not me alone! Also when change happens I find I freak a bit...comfort zone and all that!!

Saw midwife yesterday, all good, she have me a preganncy book...sweet! Also said she's told her daughter in law not to but anything before 24weeks incase she jinxes it...thanks love! I'm not superstitious at all though!

Glad all is ok, maternity stretchy jeans from h&m I live in them...can't be doing with my skinnys anymore! X

Toni-win good luck today and let us know what flavour!! X

Good luck for today Toni :)

Well turns out OH has tonsillitis so his op is cancelled :( but that means he can come to the scan on the 16th feb and we can go shopping for a few bits if all is well :)
Been thinking about my midwife appointment of tuesday she said I was 17 weeks :/ I'm not at the time I was 16 +5 I really hope I don't have to see her again not the best stand in ;(
Well snowman making didn't go well the snow was to powdery and wouldn't stick together lol but we had fun.

Lola - Id just buy a nice set of of drawers, wardrobe whichever you fancy as personally I think it's better in the long run and won't need replacing later on. we shall be getting a set of drawers from ikea for baby, my DD has two sets off tall boy drawers I asked if she wanted some like Mammy's she said no she liked hers lol we have the Malam drawers and they are very deep and great quality I may look at the children's drawers and see what takes my fancy.
It just seems more logical in the long run.

Laura- your not alone i have a thing for late night snacking too ooops

Thanks Angela glad im not the only snacker lol

I'll be 19 weeks on Tuesday coming and still not getting many movements maybe a couple of flutters or pops a day
Really want baby to start giving me some kicks x

Just had my first 'are you expecting?' based on someone looking at my tummy! Seems like bump has started to appear in the last few days, I still see it as more chub than anything else though.

Such a risky question. I wish I had been quick enough to say no and watch him squirm.

Good luck for your scan Toni.x
