Thats excellent Lozzi! Ive only lost a pound the last few days.

hey, a pound is a pound  better than what Ive done this last week

Way to go on yout 2lb too Natalie :cheer:

Right girls - time to get my backside into gear - I'm joining so count me in lozzi. I'm planning to start on Monday and really full on.

I was fat before I got pregnant, but I look like a hippo now and can't believe how differently my weight settles after having my baby - I still look very pregnant, and I'm dreading the day when someone mistakes me for a pregnant lady.

Sorry to do this to you all (look away now), but I'm posting pics of my fat gut/spare tyre/mummy tummy here to give me some much needed motivation and to shame me into doing something about it.

Here you go (eeek!):-

Awww dont worry hun... we all change completly after having a baby :)

How much do you want your target to be this month?

V...the reason I am losing weight is cos I was in the changing room at Boots holding Libby, and another mum (!!!!) said to me...how old is she etc etc, "Oh and you're having another one already" I was mortified!! I told her "No, but I obviously have some baby weight still to lose" she didn't know what to say to me then

Anyway, i am going to weigh myself every Wednesday as I did before, I want to lose half a stone.....I currently weigh 12st 10lb....which is still 2lb lighter than I was before I started dieting at the start of Nov...so not too bad considering the xmas binge.....ok, good luck to us all girls!

I'd settle for a no gain first week, as I'm still munching my way through a very large tin of Danish Butter Cookies  leftover from Xmas..... :wall: I even gave them to DH to take to work y'day so the lads at work could munch through some and help me out.....I hated letting them go, but glad they came back with some of my fave sugar topped ones left

Once they're gone they're gone, and I'm going to try the Special K 2 week challenge!!

well done to the girls who've already lost weight!!! :cheer:

I'm hoping to weight myself on Monday so guess thats when I'll start properly although I'm eating new diet already.

Valentine and Emmylou - I know how you feel, I had a bloke come up when I was on a night out and pat my tummy and say 'oh your having a baby' :x

Guess we should use it as motivation though :)

Hey girls,

Thanks for being nice to me - I felt sick when I woke up this morning and remembered I'd posted those pics - I only posted them to shame me into doing something about it. I really hate them.

I'm your typical yo-yo dieter - will go at it gung-ho for a few weeks, then totally lose motivation, miss eating sweet things and then binge out for a few weeks.

I want to do the Special K 2 week challenge, but its probably not a good idea as I'm breastfeeding. I think I will do healthy eating and some exercise this week.

lozzi - I'd like my first target to be 3lbs. I'll be weighing myself on Sunday night this week which will be my starting weight. I'm doing a homemade slimming class with some of my friends - we're getting together, sharing motivation and recipes and meeting this Sunday night.

Well done and good luck to everyone!

I am starting on my diet too! And, Dear Lord, I need it! I weigh more then 15 stone (15'7'') and my plan is to loose 5 stone this year!
Posting some pictures, sorry for me being in my lingerie. Hopefully this will give me a kick in the ass!

I am on day 3 of my diet. The usual meal plan is:

Wake up: glass of warm water with lemon
Breakfast - glass of home made smoothie
Snack-apple or orange or bluberries
Lunch-large leafy salad with tomatoes, cucomber, paprika, mushrooms and prawns (the only unhealhy stuff is sauce, cos it contains mayo, but I decided, if I have to eat healthy, it has to be tasty, so one spoon of mayo wont do much harm)
Snack-dark chocolate (approx 30 grams)
Dinner-Grilled salmon or chicken and plenty of veg (carrots, brocolli, cauliflower and green beans, all steamed)
During the day I am trying to drink plenty of water or herbal teas (not very succesful)
Excercise-few times a week long (2 miles) walks with prams, starting from 3rd of Feb-gym, 3 times a week.

This is the most sensible diet for me. Cos if I go to far, like not eating much at all, I cant go on more then 2 weeks, and then it all comes back. Hope, this will work.

As Carina said, have some source of meat/ fish, Make sure its got no fat, and steam or grill it.

Try to avoid, bread/pasta/potatoes, and instead fill up on veggies (not pots)

Make sure you drink lots of water...

Buy your veggies frozen, less chance of them going off, and they are actually FRESHER than fresh veggies, as they aer frozen at source.

My target for the year is to lose 5 stone..

knowing my luck i'll be sayin the same for my 2009 resolution lol :rotfl:
