1st Trimester Bumpy Pics!

I've gained around my hips but not arse (it's big enough already though )

I am getting bigger love handles too, although I'm sure that's 'cos I've stopped going to the gym :(

cheeky minx! go down the pool yourself lol

I am going to start exercising again when i'm not to absolutely shattered  I really feel so much worse for not exercising but swimming is just so BORING!!! Back and forth, back and forth.

morning girlies!!!!! Just woken up!!!! thought Id pop on see how every ones doing, bubba that diagram is freaky!!!!!!

I'm thinking aquanatal budda, I know what you mean about swimming being boring. But then again, how is gym exciting?!

what stage can you start goin aqua natel? i really wana go, but dont wana be the only one there with a teeny bump whilst everyone else looks like they are about to pop!!

I used to do a step/body pump class. I don't like the actual gym that much (although it's still better than swimming as I can listen to my music etc) but I liked the social side of sweating alongside my friends

Thing is there is a lot of relatively high-impact stuff, situps and weights all of which I can't really do or don't want to risk.

I will look into aquanatal classes but I know for a fact they don't do them at my gym. Maybe I'll get a DVD or something

Me too rock angel, have held off till now but starting to think it might be time to get down there! I was somewhat delayed by suddenly realising my boobs would no longer fit in my cossie so had to find a maternity one for big boobed ladies - effort! :shakehead: Tried to phone the pool the other day to see if they have a "weeks" limit (someone somewhere else said not till 16 weeks...?) but they're too lazy to answer the phone. Great. Ah well, I'll just sit on my arse for a bit longer

In Bolton you can go to sharples pool from 12 weeks and radcliffe pool from 12 weeks.

X hope thats help to people as I'll be starting there in three weeks or so.

Why can't you go earlier? It's not like it's going to do you any harm... Or maybe it's so the heavily pregnant ladies dont feel 'fat' compared to a 5 weeker lol

I know, it's weird isn't it. Maybe you're right! or could be just part of this whole you shouldn't do anything that's a change of routine in the first 12 weeks - not that aqua natal could possibly do any harm, as you say, but hey.

I have wrapped myself in cotton wool for this and my last pregnancy but to be honest, if the pregnancy is going to fail it will fail, a bit of light exercise is not going to cause a miscarriage unless you have medical issues.

My 'specialist' doctor that I saw (USELESS awful nasty woman) told me not to have sex, not to exercise, not to strain too hard on the loo (like I'm going to s**t the baby out  ) but to be honest, short of daily high-impact sports and punches to the gut, if the little bean is going to stick around it will stick around, straining or no straining

I know

But I'm still not risking the gym yet

It's mainly as I'm so shattered it would be my 'do one thing for the day' thing and that would be me... And also they need to fix the A/C in there as the last time I went (at 3w pregnant) I nearly collapsed from the heat!

Fair enough, if you ask me any excuse not to go to the gym is a good one! Really must sort out this pool thing though - maternity swimsuit arrived yesterday and does appear to fit my enormous boobs with a smidgen of room for growth, so miracles do happen :rotfl:

my local pool have stopped aqua natel and dont do womens only swimming sessions

oh morning btw!!

Evening

That sucks... Maybe just go for a gentle paddle when it's not too busy?

I don't have any fancy classes or women's sessions at my pool either :shakehead:

PMSL you eejit!

I am wearing long tops now anyway as I have to put that elastic extender thing in my waistband so I have no hope of doing the zip up.

It does look a bit lumpy but sod it!
