Hi everyone,
I was rushed into hospital on Monday with chronic pain and bleeding. It turns out that I had a very bad water infection which made me go into labour at only 23+2 weeks.
Our beautiful baby daughter Rebecca Marie was born on 7th May at 6:48am after over 7 and a half hours labour. She weighed a mere 520g.
Becky was perfect, beautiful. They tried to revive her but her heart just wasn't strong enough. At 7:35am she passed away.
We've only just come home. We are obviously devastated but we are doing all we can to be positive.
Everyone at our hospital (Russels Hall in Brierley Hill) have been wonderful and we couldn't have asked for more care, support and compassion. They managed to make a truly tragic situation a little more bearable.
Why is life so unfair? I still can't believe that I'm no longer carrying our Rebecca and even though I have m/c's in the past (this is the longest pregnancy I have had) I (we) have never before experienced pain like it.
We are in a daze and it hasn't completely sunk in yet that we have lost our beautiful little girl.
RIP Rebecca, we will never forget you, you will be loved forever.
xxxxx
