Weak pregnancy after 6 weeks...

Today, when I went to my GP for a test, was advised that am a positive weak pregnant, as there were a faint positive line. I have no bleeding and no bad pain, just cramps and warm body.

Please help to understand if it is normal as it is worrying me a lot, as doctor said, would need to clear out the womb, if pregnancy not developed??

What I can do to make my pregnancy healthy?

Have you been referred to an EPU hun (early pregnancy unit) they will be able to scan you to see if this is a viable pregnancy.

Alternatively the Dr can take your blood to test hCG levels are doubling. You will need at least two tests 48 hours apart to ascertain this is a viable pregnancy.

I hope everything is OK but sadly if it's not then there is nothing you can do although your Dr sounds very unsympathetic.

Its strange for ur doc to say this just by going off a preg test cos the line is weak :-/ he should have refered you to epu as carnat said or done some bloods,gd luck hope all ok xx

I agree with the ladies. You can't judge the viability/healthiness of a pregnancy based on the strength if the line. Every test us diffrent, and it also depends on the concentration of your urine etc.there are too many variables.

If you are concerned I'd give your epu a call and see if someone will see you x

it's normal to have cramps in very early pregnancy - and the faint line may just mean the test was taken early, for example not long after or before your period was due or you had quite diluted urine from drinking lots in the heat.

I can't believe he just sent you off with no further explaination! I would either go back to gp for further advise or as said before try to get seen by the early pregnancy unit at your hospital.

I've quite recently gone through this. I contacted my EPU directly, if you ring your local hospital and ask to be put through to early pregnancy unit, you can usually self refer. My unit have been brilliant even though it wasn't good news for me.

There are lots of reasons the lines can look faint including how dilute your wee is, what time of day the test is done and when you ov'd. If you have irregular cycles you may just not be as far along as 6 weeks.

Your "warm body" may actually be a good sign as high progesterone levels make you feel warm, which is good in pregnancy

Yesterday, i went to the doctor for scan.. and i have a 7 weeks pragnency bt doctor said that the scan machine shows you are a 5 weeks pragnent.. thats why your date will be count after 15 days..
Please help to understand it is normal or not..

What else did they say I'm a tad confused, are u meant to be 7 weeks but the scan is only showing 5? If so are u spor on with ur dates could u be 2 weeks out like maybe u ovulated late in the month? Hope all turns out ok for you xx

that may explain why your test was so faint when you thought you were 6 week, you were probably only 4 weeks.......have you got to go back for further scans or appointments?
