*** Twins thread ***

Beg for some more pain relief ;) Sorry to hear you are so sore babe, but great news that you have some nice quiet bubbas.
The feeding will get there i am sure!
Any idea how long they will keep you in?
I wont be far behind you hopefully, but i dont think mine are in a hurry to go anywhere, lol ;) xx

Ditto scatty. It's bloody hard wih 2. The pain does settle, mine is much better now on day 3, I'm much more mobile etc.
have you tried expressing milk? I'm Breastfeeding but Alex sometimes has difficulty latching as his mouth is small, so I expressed a bit today and put it in the fridge.
I'm on a bfeed on demand but no longer than a 3 hr gap between feeds.
It does get easier I promise but its a shock to the system.
Entourage a feed every 2 hrs, that what I did.
Take it easy, rest and concentrate on feeding xxx
My iron is 8.7 so back on tabs, may need a transfusion again or injections.
Hope yr ok nikki xxx not long now.

Great to hear from you bm, sounds like everything is going ok with you, although challenging i bet!
All ok here, scan tomorrow and review so hopefully the end is in sight for me now. Movements are really uncomfortable and pelvis is shot, so will be begging for my section!
Hope your iron improves hon, not long til you are home :) xxx

Congratulations to Babymother on your dinky twins, glad your feeling a little better, keep on that iron yourll be so much more tired after that blood loss, it took me 9 months to recover my iron fully from my transfusions, fortified cereal will help , and use sennacot or lactulose for iron caused constipation , not nice after sections x

Congratulations scattyash, they are gorgous and great weights , ive only ever had one baby at 7lb 2 and the other three were all smaller than yours and they were all just singletons and not as early as yours!

Take a day at a time , use the pain relief, keep ontop of it esp during night and you really will turn a corner xx

Hey ladies, and stalkers, and anyone else who bothers to read this now ;)
Hospital appointment today, everything fine on the monitors, babies obviously stll breech but wriggling away quite happily. Unfortunately, after growing like weeds for the first 35 weeks they have now slowed right down and only put on 100g or so each in the last fortnight. Mustve run out of room in there!
So my estimated 6lb babies are coming.......on Friday by C section :)
Excited, relieved but very nervous! The end is in sight, and my mum is booking flights for next week :)

Eek! You will have your babies Friday! How long do they keep you in afterwards?

It's easier said than done, especially with twins, but rest up as much as possible! X

Just 3 days, all being well! I am so happy about that, the hospital are great, but my spanish isnt, and although i get by it is still a bit of a nightmare. Will be much happier at home :)

That's not so bad then :)
You'll be home with your babies by Monday all being well! X

Nice one nikki don't b nervous you know how scared I was and I requested the section in the end, the worst bit is walking into the theatre and knowing what's gonna happen, just chill while your in there and don't panic, on the up side of being in Spain If your Spanish is not great least u won't understand what they are talking about while they are doing it. Cos that freaked me out. Enjoy you next couple of days I know your uncomfy but try get rest,
My little girl isent sleeping just screaming all night, I left hospital Monday and I think was too early,
She slept great there but here not great
My nipples are so sore and my milk had not came in properly yet and my nipples are blistering :(
I'm also super emotional if I even think about the hospital or my labour I cry and kinda feel really emotional over how I felt when I First saw them cos it was the best feeling ever if that makes sense,
Xx

Thanks ladies,

Scatty, good to hear from you, sorry hatyou little girl is not sleeping well :( You must be so tired already.
It must be such an emotional time, especially after the failed induction etc, i am surprised you got home so fast, but then the UK have a habit of throwing people out too fast i think.
I hope things settle soon.
Hows your section wound doing? I am really worried about getting about afterwards xxxx

Yeah they def do, it's all well and good wanting to go home but once your there you notice the help at the hospital isent!
My wound is actually not that bad, ok it hurts and getting on and off the bed and turning over sometimes makes me scream a lil but when you think about what has been done I expected it to be much worse, you need to take every day as it comes and accept any help offered to you xx

Both my babies have been admitted to hospital last night,
Both jaundice and both dehydrated from not feeding and have low temps,
:( ontop of that I'm so hormonal that I cannot stop crying feel so sorry for them x

Big hugs scatty, they're in the right place and just need that little boost :) x

Scatty that horrible, sometimes they let you out to early feeding is bloody difficult I can't even imagine what it would be like feeding twins. They are in the best place, I would push to see the bf advisor as they can help with latching and positioning to make it easier for all of you xxxx

Awwww hon, i am sorry to hear that, they will be fine i am sure. Try not to be too upset sweetie, it cant be easy feeding twins ( i am about to find out!) and they really shouldnt let people out so fast :(
Sending you some hugs, i hope the bubbas get better soon, keep us updated if you can xxxxxxxx

Oh scattyash they will get them under the lights to sort out the bilirubin levels and prob want you to top up with formula , mine did as more fluids helps to flush iit out, your doing just great, tears are allowed, we all do it and thats with one baby!
Do get some lansinoh cream its a miracle and slap on nipples every feed

Nikki, all the best for tomorows birth, how exciting xx

Hi scatty, sorry to hear you're back in hospital.
Alex has a touch of jaundice too.
Get the Breastfeeding lady in your hospital to help. I love Breastfeeding hem although it is not easy, Alex is slower to feed than Ada but he is getting there now.
I do express milk too and give that via a bottle, only to Alex as he was really sleepy for a day or two, and didn't feed well.
You are doing great, just make sure the staff know you want him to have your milk, it's so important for them.
Things will get better hun, I've had an emotional couple of days, it's to be expected, especially when they don't feed as well as you'd hoped. Hang on in there hun, I'm thinking of you all xxx

Wow nikki! All go tomorrow :) wish you all the best hun xxx
Just take it easy and rest! xxx
