I took soy for 3 months, the first two months only took a really low dose as i was a bit wary of it, but had super strong opk lines and ov as normal. The last month i upped the dose and took it at a slightly different time but i ovulated early (CD11) and only had one day of positives which weren't that dark....? I haven't taken it since as that put me off, but could have been a fluke. I may try it again as it obviously works for some people. FX for you x

I've done 4 soy cycles, the first worked, the second and third were border line (I didn't have bloods so don't know for sure on those two cycles) and the fourth has been a disaster, CD50-something and still waiting for ov.

If you ov usually then I wouldn't take it, if like me you are a bit hit and miss I think it is worth a try.

I would also start on a lower dose, clomid is usually started at 50, so I would start soy at 100 and try a cycle at that.

Well after getting on the scales last night and seeing i have put on 9 pounds I will be on a serious health kick I have never weighed as much, its so depressing. Started kettle bells on monday and am 'trying' to eat healthier, cut down on sugary things etc. Also decided to start acupuncture, need to ring them on Sat, been wanting to do it for ages so may as well give it a go!

Millie - not sure re the soy, I did read iit can cause headaches so was reccomended to take it last thing at night whcih i did. Only took a low dose as well.

Girls has anyone had problems with BV before? This is getting beyond a joke now had it constantly for months..whenever I have antibiotics it goes away for a few days then comes back again what can I do? I just want it to go away its so painful with the burning ive not slept a wink tonight! Is so itchy and smells too. Got the docs on monday i so hope they can help! Need relief until then though its agony! Dont want to be taking antibiotics constantly though! Had some antibiotic gel left over from when i had it when preg so used that but its not helped with the burning!
Also surely bv must hinder ttc?in any case seems like il need those balance activ pessaries the ones you take to prevent bv.. im going to find it tricky to conceive taking all this bv treatment as most isnt sperm friendly.
So rubbish, I just feel that after ttc 13 months with a mc something not right. Cycles all over , infections constantly, pain during dtd ive also had pid in the past as well as an op to remove half my left ovary and cyst attached to it.. i just feel somethings not right.. I'm demanding further tests on monday as cant cope its making me so anxious.
Im also gonna ask for clomid if I can..i have no hope atm and my cycles just go everywhere i dunno how i managed to catch in the first place as a few cycles before that had only been like 12 days long! I can't be ovulating often at all? Failing that im going to ask them to refer me for private treatment (in my area the nhs dont fund iui or ivf at all) and then when we can afford it will go for iui because how am i meant to conceive if i cant dtd because of bv lol! Really getting me down i need to do loads today , had no sleep and down there is just burning like a red hot wire is stuck up there xxx

Millielaura, that sounds so frustrating. I would try the balance activ gels. I used them once when I thought I had BV (turns out I didn't have it) but I seem to remember you have to be careful at what part in your cycle you use them. I think you're not supposed to use them around fertile period.
Have the doctors given you the super strong antibiotics, I am not sure what they are called but they always warn that you absolutely can't drink alcohol as will get very sick. There must be something they can do as its really not nice for you. Hope it gets sorted on Monday xx

Isnt good for sperm but really need to sort this bv out. Yeah ive had those antibiotics..they work great for a few days then back comes the BV. Hopefully they can do something for me. Seen a probiotic supplement that can also be taken to help prevent it as balances bacteria..something like that. Anythings worth a try I guess.
So before the mc we were about to be referred for fertility help..do i still have a chance of being referred?i don't think i can bare the thought of waiting another year and my cycles were never regular with some cycles being so short it was impossible to catch? Xx

Definitely sounds like its worth a try. I am sure there will be something they can do for you, you may just need a longer course of antibiotics or something.
I am not sure about the referral. The same happened to me and they refused to see me after that but I would assume different clinics have different rules xx

Will I have to wait another whole year before they will? Im spending so much on supplements, opk and obsessive early testing I'd rather just pay for iui lol its 650 pounds near me, I've spend WELL over that in the last year ttc haha!
Got swabs done for BV even though I know its that lol. Ordered the balance activ BV pessarys so hope they help xxx

Its awful isn't it, that they won't see you I would assume you would have to wait another year.
Have you had all the basic tests? scan? day 21 and day 3 bloods? If not I would ask for those through GP just to double check everything xx

Hey hun, this happened to me. I was referred to fertility last January (a year ago! Where does the time go?!) but fell pregnant in February, miscarried in April and then got my fertility appointment through for July. I still went, hoping they knew nothing of my pregnancy lol, consultant saw it in my notes and said he would start treatment after I'd had another 6 months of trying. I cried and cried to him to help me but he refused, and told me to "go away and get pregnant". I could have punched him. But I did fall pregnant, still can't believe it, and cancelled my appointment with him a few weeks ago. If you had contact definitely keep in touch, I found him to be pretty reasonable, even though I hated him at the time lol xx

I know lisey, so annoying, and she kept saying well at least we know you can get pregnant so thats good. I'm like well I'd rather not of now cause then I could be on route to getting treatment!
Oh my gosh bethyboo bet that was so horrible for you! Bet you wanted to punch him in the face! I could never work in their job, I couldn't stick to protocol and guidelines at all I'd feel far too much sympathy for people! So amazing you fell preg again though and bet it felt amazing ringing up to cancel it haha.
When I go back with OH I might try persuade them for me to try another 6 months before the referral rather than a year. So frustrating because it takes around 6 months to get appointment after referall from what I've heard so they may as well really lol.
Went and got things to try for when I go on holiday next week for the plane as so anxious, also get awful panic attacks in tww so hoping they might help. These are okay when ttc right? Paranoid at anything messing up my cycle now I've taken soy.
Got kalms, arnica, rescue remedy chewing gum, rescue remedy night drops and valerian sleep tablets. On the valerian tablets it says don't take if pregnant so don't think I'd take at the end of the tww. Think I'l be taking kalms regularly from now on and see if it helps my anxiety at all, with the rescue remedy gum for the plane lol!
