hi ladies,

well tri 3 isn't that bad really (except the sore feet, lack of sleep, exhaustion, limited movement ability...!) but saturday morning i find my first stretchmarks on my tummy  and there are quite a few  soooo annoying! men are so bloody lucky aren't they!! xx

I have had an explosion too Hun lol my mum says they will fade after a bit he he x

Haha I thought I was really lucky until about 30 weeks when the first little patches on my hips started to arrive! Now I have them on the under side of my bump… they're starting to look like they have the potential to go on the top bit of my stomach but haven't darkened so fingers crossed LO comes out before they get a chance!

Xx

I have the hip patches! I was hoping they might stay like that!

yep, i thought to myself 'wow, i'm clearly one of those people who get away with it'! one of the mummys on here told me she had no stretchmarks at all, not one. then she went overdue and they appeared during that time, how pissed off would you feel!?

xx

I hoped mine would as well, I almost cried when I saw the tummy ones! All part of the journey though ladies! As it happens, mine have been looking like they're fading a bit the last couple of days, I've been slathering them in jergens ultra hydrating moisturiser… bio oil was doing nothing for me and palmers stretch mark cream smelled like mosquito repellent and made me gag!

Xx

friends keep saying to me, get out in the sun and they will fade.....soooo great excuse for a holiday ASAP!! xx

I got my first ones this week - imagine getting to 38 weeks then finding some - was convinced I'd gotten away with it :P

ive unfortunately had them before i got preg but luckily they have got bigger but theyve got more itchy, its a nightmare not itching them but been putting baby oil or vaseline on them which seems to be helping loads.

Its gutting isn't it!!!! I already had them on my hips before but they've definitely got worse there and i've now found a few white ones dotted about on my tummy and a couple of light purple lines on the underneath bit of my tummy - these i feel the worst about - i don't mind the thin white ones so much, as long as they stay that way. I'm using bio oil twice a day, i dread to think how they'd be if i didn't use anything! xxxx

I am no that bothered by mine to be honest I have never been one to bear my tummy in public lol ad Orlando wouldn't be here without them! :-)

I have the wee clear ones on my hips but tbh not sure if they were the before or not  I'm doing everything I can to try to avoid getting them but what will be will be  my Nanna had six babies including a 10lb one and not one stretchmark :faint:
Just think pos, you wanted baby so badly and this is just part of the journey to becoming a mummy x

very true, my friends say to be me they signify ur pregnancy and i should love them..quite hard though!! of course though, i can't complain....too much ;) xx

I've got them starting on my lower tummy hun  I was telling someone at work today and my boss piped in with his wife had no stretch marks. Lol. I was like well lucky her! Ah well, mummy marks and all I suppose. I just hope they stay where they can be concealed with clothes!

xxx

I had old stretchmarks from when i was a teenager so thought I woulg get them so was moisturising like mad and didnt get more (there is a tiny purplish mark where my old stretch mark is but thats it).

You never know though but it wont hurt to moisturise

yeah i've been using palmers stretch mark cream! i bought a very expensive cream for £80 when i got my bfp but i got a bloody rash from it

xx

My wife used Bio Oil during both her two pregnancies. She has no stretch marks at all. Bio Oil is free on prescription to pregnant women in the UK.

Don't waste money on expensive stuff, just give Bio Oil a try. Good luck.

(men are luckier in some ways, although I have stretch marks on the inside of my arms. I wish it was because I am built like something rather big).

Stu

*** Edit - I double checked and Bio Oil is not free on prescription to pregnant women. My wife used it on a scar elsewhere and it was free for her for that, not stretch marks. Although it is the best thing ever for stretch marks too! ***

Lol at Stu, my hubby has stretch marks as well, he get them on his tummy and his arms, he's on medication and it makes his weight go up and down really quickly so bless him I've been putting my stretch mark cram on him, poor dear.

I thought I'd got away with it as well... then hubby noticed I had them on my bum!!! What's with that!! got none on my bump or my boobs but now have them on my bum and my cleavage!! dont get it at all!! and I've been moisturising, dont know why I bothered lol
