tons of ultrasounds and doppler in pregnancy?

Hi Ladies,

I am new to this forum, I am expecting and I'm really panicked iv damaged my baby with too many ultrasounds and also using a home doppler. I had no idea there was any controversy over how safe they are.

I'm hoping to find reassurance in that someone will come along and say, I did that and my kid is developing just fine...

Please someone? x

Hi,

I didn't know there was any risk tbh, but I can't see the hospital doing too many scans if they are a risk to baby. I think I had about 5 scans and my LO is fine. As for the Doppler, I thought they just advised not to use them in case you pick up your own heartbeat instead of baby's when something is wrong.

I really don't think you have anything to worry about.

why have you had tons of ultrasounds?!?!

I had 6, some people have tons more.they wouldnt do them if they were dangerous???

I has about 8 in all, LO was fine xx

The holpitals would surely ask you to sign a release and inform you if there was any danger to your baby involved in an ultrasound.
