anyone have tons of ultrasound and used a doppler?

Hi Ladies,

I am new to this forum, I am expecting and I'm really panicked iv damaged my baby with too many ultrasounds and also using a home doppler. I had no idea there was any controversy over how safe they are.

I'm hoping to find reassurance in that someone will come along and say, I did that and my kid is developing just fine...

Please someone? x

We had quite a few scans and I had s doppler end Tyler is great. I think the issue is not enough research has been done to snow that it's 100% safe. It can't be that damaging because twins have to go every 2 weeks I think for scans. Don't worry!

The best way to know that scans are perfectly safe is that you don't have to sign a disclaimer that you won't sue if something goes wrong, and you don't sign a disclaimer for scans. My mw wasn't happy with me using a doppler early on, she said there's no harm to development but they can really piss babies off if used like every day because of the sound waves or something

I had a about 8 scans throughout my pregnancy and had a doppler which I used at least once or twice a week and my lo is fine x

I had loads of scans and no problems here, I think they dont like the noise it makes very much but its not damaging as far as im aware!!

I had about 15-20 scans and he's perfect!

Don't worry I was never ever told there was a risk xxx

I had loads of scans especially towards the end and I used the doppler every night at one point, Angel is nearly 8 months old and absolutely fine xx
