Get yourselves some Lansinoh lanolin nipple cream - i had other stuff to start with in hospital and i still ended up with horrifically damaged nipples, got my mum to get my the Lansinoh stuff when i got home and it has made the world of difference. Make sure its in your hospital bag and you use it from the very start, hopefully you might avoid the painful, bleeding nipples that I had.

it lasts forever! and not just good for nipps, i use it on my face where i get dry spots aswell. breastfeeding dries me out SO much as i forgett to drink extra, and this cream is the best!

question for you, do you put in on after a feed even if you arent sore? cos it says apply after feed, but is that reguardless? x

my nipples have never really been sore but i normally just stick it on now and again really. i dont use it all the time, i mainly use it for my face i always put it on after my shower. but if you got sore nipps then i guess just make sure u got it on all the time?

I put it on after every feed at the moment. I'm just getting towards the end of first tube after 3 weeks although saying that its probably got a few more days left in it at least.

Even though i am solely expressing i couldn't live without Lansinoh lanolin nipple cream. Where we had tried to get Ellie latched i still have a very sore nipple but this has helped loads.
