people who dont say please or thank you - my biggest pet hate
Oh and the inability for people to use the pronunciation of "th", and I end up getting confused thinking they are asking for something for Free when they really want 3 of them... it's not hard to speak properly... honest...
..or drop the T in the middle of a word.
I taught in Milton Keynes where they all dropped their ts - it drove me mad!
Goin' up ci'y cen'a!!
I am quite a tolerant person really!
me too.... honest
I don't like women who call people mate. I think its really manish.
oh and I dont wear a clown necklace and sovereign
I'm with you on that one - can't stand Disney merchandise! It's a pity because H&M had this gorgeous little girl's dress once and I nearly bought it until I saw Minnie Mouse emblazoned on it
Don't get me started on Tigger
eeyore Ftw.... anyone that miserable and has to be part of the Disney corporation has my sympathy...
Girls who constantly call you 'babes' and 'sweetie' when they don't even know you - I had some woman stop me in the street trying to get me to sign up for a credit card and kept doing it
The phrases 'get your facts right' and 'that's bang out of order!' - it's so Jeremy Kyle lol
Ooh and when people, particularly girls, who put on a whiny voice and say things like 'No-wuh' instead of 'No' - a bit like Carmel off Hollyoaks.
people that like say like all the time, know what i mean like
like don't get me started on that one...like!
I like,do that all the time,it's like,part of the local dialect,then I like,catch myself on,and then I feel really wick like.
i do it sometimes (caught it off robyn that used to be on here) but i really try not to cos i know how annoying it is
It is actually. It's so much worse when said in a broad Northern Irish accent "AYE MATE YE COMIN DOON THE BERKY LEEK MATE GET SOME BUCKY LEEK"
unless westlife said it - anything they say is fine with me
Oooo that reminds me... commercialised boy/girl bands who OBVIOUSLY can't sing and mime all the time... While a friend of mine whos a fab singer/actress (*cough* ... http://www.ukscreen.com/cast/amyip) has to work her way up from scratch...
I was, like, oh my god
i don't even know what to say to that
It's like... like WHATEVER..
Words that sound the same but are spelt differently and mean different things.....
I here you've been their to?
English language is full of the buggers. We can all let one or two slip through but persistant offences get to me cause I spend all day correcting them!
