I have decided we all need to share weird questions people ask when you are pregnant. I will start.

Someone I dont really know (temp at work) asked me if it was planned and later asked if we were planning a second as well.

My midwife asked me seriously at my booking in apt if my husband (who was with me) was the father!!! I thought that was a bit odd, he's my husband why wouldn't he be the father of my baby, he thought it was funny tho!!

LOL! I can understand if she asked you when he wasnt there. Thats weird

My hairdresser today asked me if we were going ro have a second... I said ask me after Ive had the first!

When I walked to co-op earlier some girl from the block opposite stopped me, asked me how far along I was, if I thought I was going to go early, have I had any signs of approaching labour, what pain relief I'm planning on... Anyone would think I's actually met her before... But nope... Never seen her before in my life! She wanted to know cause she's just found out she's expecting apparently  xx

The funniest I heard (though apparently it's a mandatory question) was from the midwife at my booking in appt... Are me and the baby's father related! I sat there in shock for about an hour. Wasn't expecting that one!!

When I was 32 weeks pregnant, but measuring about 39 weeks, I went to the doctors and was just general chitchatting about medication and told her about when I'd come off anti-depressants and the pill so I could get my body on track for ttc and she asked me 'oh? how's it going?':shock::shock: I just looked at my bump and said 'er yeah I'm pregnant, it's going well. She wasn't even phased by this. I was only a size 12 ffs lol Rude lol

xxxx

Maybe not weird, but people at work I'm not exactly friendly with have asked how long we were ttc. x

lol oooh noone plans babys anymore, i get the shocked look when i say i planned it.

After I had my Lo a guy asked me was he born vaginal or csection. He didn't even ask his name or birth weight just that.

well at time wasnt as funny as now i think about it but now im into a second pregnancy it is....my last pregnancy was sadly one i lost but after explaining to a very sympathetic manager about it all after giving me a hug and just before i was about to leave his office there was this pause and he said....so at your wedding how did you not actually drink??? didnt anyone notice? (i was pregnant during my wedding but early days so no one knew about preg except immediate family) probebly the most inappropriate question after suffering a loss but yet it made me laugh out loud just because it was so unexpected...it actually lightened the mood though i think he asked because he was curious rather than trying to help..., i replied very simply peartiser in a wine glass!!!

well i recently told my neices and nephews and their questions have been the funniest! As i was carrying my nephew when i told him-am i squishing him? can i see him (with this he tries to pull my top down) get him out.

I said to my neice whats in here (pointed at non-exsistant bump) is there a baby in there? is it going to be black? (i should explain both me and OH are white...my cousin is having a baby and her OH is black.)

My sister asked another nephew do you know who the daddy is of the baby he said "erm..i dunno...grandad?" (erm--that would be my dad! :) )

the children at my dance school keep asking if my little peanut will have pink hair like me!! bless them!! xxx

People ask personal questions though , I mean I wouldnt usually discuss my vagina , with someone but they seems to think its ok to ask about how I healed , how much it hurt and how was sex afterwards . I was asked by a stranger in the doctors would I not just have a c-section .. because I can choose to have one ?!

Being 41 and oh 46 (married 22 years) and having our first, people keep jumping to the conclusion it was a mistake......so we keep getting 'oooh got caught out did you'

Makes me so cross that people presume things!!

thats just plain rude!! xxxxx

As I live in Italy and oh is Italian and afraid of flying (and my friends know this) I'm amazed
At the amount of people who ask me if I'll be having the baby in England!
Obviously I'll be doing online check in whilst in labour!

The IT guy at my work was in fixing my laptop last week and he asked me if I'll be ok with breastfeeding in public? WTF I don't even feel that comfortable discussing bf with my OH let alone some pervy IT guy! xx

Lol this thread made me giggle. This isn't a question but my friend is really odd she is a year older than me but I swear she thinks we are still like 13 or something! When I told her me and OH were pregnant her response was "terrible, disgusting." lol I didn't really know what to say to that lol bearing in mine I am 28 and OH 32 and we have been married 18 months lol

To be fair, in her mind, it could have been a sperm donation or even that you'd married your OH some time after getting pregnant via another man..... These things do happen
