What strange /shocking comments have you had whilst pregnant

Some of your comments are quite shocking! People can be so rude though. I've had comments such as:

1.) Your far too young for children, you'll never cope - I'm 22, OH is 26, don't think thats too young and we are both more than capable of looking after a child!

2.) You'll have to have a C section, your too small to do it naturally - this comment has upset me the most and I even told my M/W about it and she said there is no reason why I can't do it naturally, my size has nothing to do with it. So fingers up to those tw**s!

3.) You shouldn't be eating that OR you shouldn't be doing that, not in your condition - I'm pregnant, not ill!

4.) Have you tried ginger biscuits? - this was the most annoying when I had morning sickness, of course I tried it, I tried everything, would I make myself suffer on purpose??!!

5.) Have you not had the baby yet? make sure you let us know when your in labour, we'll come to the hospital and wait for news - do I look like I've had the baby? and the first person who will know when I'm in labour is OH and my parents! And we won't be telling anyone I'm in hospital until LO has been born!

LOL people are strange aren't they?!!

I went back to my home town last week on a nice break with Dave, and we sat and ate a quick lunch on a bench in the town centre. Anyway, these 2 old ladies came and sat next to us on the bench and when I'd finished eating and stood up to stretch, one of the ladies said 'Oooh how long you get left now'? So I told her I'd got 2 months, then she asked did I know what I was having and I told her it's a girl to which she replied 'Ooooh yes, you're all front'!!!! Riiiiiiiight! Then proceeded to tell me and my husband how she carried her children etc etc.
The most things I've been asked was:
Have you had any sickness?
How long you got left?
Do you know what you're having?
Have you had any weird cravings?
And the best one was when I went to pick up a travel cot from a lady on Weds after work, she said 'You look like you're about to pop, how long have you got left?' I'm not due to 8th November - do I look THAT big????

I watched "Knocked Up" last night, and was at the bit where shes interviewing the celebs and her bump is all they can talk about, shes got two months left but they all going " ooo you about to drop", and shes getting stressed
I could soooo sympathise!!

Prize goes to my mum though. The background to this is that I am the third of 4 children, the first 3 being girls. When I told her bump was a boy she said "Oh you clever girl - It took me 4 ttempts before I hit the jackpot!!"

I think the one i get the most is...
dont you have a tv then?

I too get this one! lol I say "yeh but its always on the porn channel!! "

I also get the "oh your just a baby youself comments" the " Oh you dont look old enough to be having your 4th ababy" "I take it this wasnt planned then" etc etc!
Oh and the main one "You must be mad!!!" I laugh at them all! And try to think up sarcastic answers for them!

ooh now i HATE it when people say i'm mad or "why did you do that then" or the like -

I feel like shouting at them - "CAUSE ITS WHAT ME AND MY LOVING HUSBAND BLOODY WANTED TO MAKE OUT LIFE COMPLETE"

Oh dear! I don't mind so much, but I didn't think I looked that huge haha. Went to the dentist today though, and the receptionist asked me if I was 6 months preg, and I said no I'm 7 months!!

she rolls eyes to celing and says "oh no, not again sam!".

The only bad comment I have had and it was a truly bad one was from my colleague at work. We work the 4pm-8pm shift and it is just the two of us and her comment was;

"Oh god I don't know if I can do this without you here you will have to terminate it so I don't have to train someone new"

Now she was joking and she doesn't have kids herself and wont do as she is 49 but as you can imagine I was really upset. She did apologise and buy me some flowers but I am still that anyone could say that! I guess if you have never wanted kids you don't understand the worries of being pg
