There is nth to panic Abd nth that can't be fixed with more insulin anyway. The only scary part is that you will have to play with the insulin doses alone for now but you seem to be doing excellent..
 
Hey hun i got my reading down as far as 10 had a small tea and it shot up through the roof again and is still high. I can't understand it I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I have lost weight rather then gain lately so surely they can see it's not my diet. I'm so afraid it's affecting baby. X
 
What are you taking hun insulin and metforim x

20 units of insulin at meal times. My morning readings were fine until yesterday but have gone to pot. I'm sure I will be put on slow release for that. I reacted badly to Metformin so had to be taken off it. X
 
Could be why your getting high readings i never had any over 12 but was on both insulin and metforim x

Hope they sort themselves out hun i know too high is bad x

hi girls,im gestational diabetic diet controlled,they wont let me go over my due date so getting induced the day before which is on sunday!!! weird thing is ive been having growth scans since 32 wks and baby was small? thought they are meant to be big with gd?
 
Hi Hun I have a friend who had a small baby with gd I think it can go either way. My baby is on the larger side but it's not uncommon for babies to be small either x
 
My sons were 6lb 10oz born at 38+2 then 7lb 3oz at 39+3 weeks hun x i had insulin and metforim to control mine as diet alone wasn't enough x

Off amy :( when did they say they will see you at the hospital? They really need to sort this out, hopefully they will not let you one more week struggling alone.

Growth scan tomorrow for me, fx are good news... That bean better dropped some centiles...

Btw amy stupid quest but I suppose you didn't do any dramatic change in your diet? Though with those values you could even eat icecream and I suppose wouldn't show any higher...
I wish I could make it all better for you :(

Good luck for today Hun here's hoping baby is being good.
I'm hoping I will get a call back first thing. I haven't been eating alot the past few days Sunday I was feeling sick so only picked and with my readings yesterday i was very conscious of everything so only had small portions.
I can't say I feel ill just normal pregnancy related stuff x
 
The baby is measuring 3300 kg and on 94 centile today :roll:
No definitive answer about what's going to happen.
I have one more growth scan at 38+3 and hopefully then a decision will be made...

I got a 9.1 after eating downtown with my oh kebab and corn and fries.
I told him it will not going to end ok but we were starving and we couldn't find any low carb variant. Now I feel terribly guilty...:( I shouldn't have listen to him...

How did it go with you today Amy?
 
Baby seems to be doing really well hope well done! It's frustrating when they won't give you proper answer.
Today has been up and down I'm feeling a bit peed off with it all. All the hospital had done us up my insulin again and see me next week.
Don't worry about your reading one here and there won't matter at all x

I am a little sick of all to be honest. I am a little afraid of the labour but I am mostly annoyed right now :(

They told me sth about induction with a balloon :roll: to avoid any possible stress on the baby (lots of stillborn babies in my family) and that stressed age scared the bejesus out of me :( never mind how painful that sounds...

Ofc maybe I will go spontaneously in labour and everything will be ok but I can't find even the motivation or the joy to read my hypnotherapy boon and cd...

Ok that was a lot of ranting for one post...

Looking forward to coconut flour made pancakes tomorrow morning...
 
From what they told me its a small catheter like the one that they put in your bladder for example. They inserted in your cervix and they inflate it with water. That opens the cervix to 4 cm so they can brake your waters.
According to the head department of gynecology at my hospital is considered the safest method for the bean?
But God it sounds painful... Hopefully it's not that bad though...

I had a great reading tonight so fx it stays that way.
Hope stop worrying yourself they won't do anything your not comfortable with. As for the balloon I'm sure it would be inflated at intervals not just one go so would just be the same as a gel induction but with the added advantage of being able to control it. With the gel once its in it's in an you can't stop it's effects where as a balloon would give them greater control of the situation does that make sense?
You are going to be fine and so will bubs.
You did make me giggle mid rant thinking of food. I have been licking the tv screen watching the great British bake off lol xxx
