The election tomorrow...

lol will do im off to the count at 9.30, but wont be back till the early hours

I cant vote in local elections because im an expat but i am registered to vote via post from abroad for the general elections.

I vote Lib Dem. Their politics may not cover everything id like them too but they come the closest.

I'm sad to see that anyone here would choose to vote BNP. I've spent years campaigning against them (Like Lozzi my dad has worked with searchlight). At the last general election I handed back a BNP leaflet that had been posted through my door and got pushed to the floor and verbally abused by the campaigner! Hell of a way to run a political party  I have to wonder if those people that vote for them actually have a real clue as to what these people represent and the means they use to achieve their bigoted, racist agenda!

You don't need it- just your name and address- there's still time! Go go go! Tell Labour how annoyed you are at them, don't lose the chance!

I'm voting Labour.

I live in a strong Labour foothold and am generally happy with my local council. I certainly don't think the Conservatives would do a better job and there really is no other realistic contender at this point.

I agree it's sometimes hard to find redeeming qualities in our politicians and parties but am unsure what point not voting at all makes? More young people have voted for Big Brother than in elections over recent years and I find that very sad. :(

Women died to give us this opportunity and so many women worldwide still don't have the freedom to vote. Apathy does make us say 'what's the point' but how are we ever going to change things if we don't even try?

I agree! I always vote, if everyone who said "whats the point" DID ACTUALLY VOTE then maybe it would make a difference!

Well I havnt voted, I do not want to as I dont believe any of them are any good, in the area I live in especialy.
I dont trust any of them. Why would I vote for someone I didnt trust? The previous year I voted lib dem as they did do good for our area in previous years but last yr I saw no changes just promices!! like all of them make!

You wouldnt invite a stranger into your home that you didnt trust?

This is how I feel and feel strongly about ( even argued about it with OH ) but thats that and I dont care what anybody thinks.

As someone who has a right to vote I also have a right not to :)

sorry tad off topic, but i have to share. when i asked adam how he would vote for if he had to he said "the green one, errrrrr...... green peace!" :rotfl:

Have voted - Hey go me. Not saying who as I think politics can cause arguments  But will say definatley not BNP.

Just wanted to say to earlier points of view - i love meeting new people I dont care if they are white, back, or brown as long as they are decent people I find it interesting listeneing to their experiences and learning about their culture.

Life would be dull and boring if we were all the same. I love listening to peoples accents - especially liverpudlians for some reasons (I have thing about Steven Gerard).

However I know I am lucky as where i live there isn't a 'gang' culture going on and I feel very safe walking anywhere around my area.

i'm not voting. i only vote in the big elections. and i vote for stupid reasons! in 2001 i voted Green coz i was a hippie  and in 2005 i voted Labour coz i thought tony blair was the best looking candidate ( BIG MISTAKE!!!)
now i'm having a baby i'll probably take the next one more seriously...

i suppose another good reason to vote is just so any of the other parties get another vote against the bnp! imagine if they won over a handful of votes, and y'all couldve stopped it!

do these little elections really count? i thought only the big ones were important. should i go 2mro?!

i do hope those voting will not moan and groan at ANYTHING in the country again. :D
