can i just point out as well.... everyone talks of us being "flooded" with immigrants...


i dont know the numerical statistic.. but last year more LEFT than came in.

Loz there are alot of places in oldham that are dominated by ethnic people - Glodwick is one of them. Where a white person is a minority. Im not saying its like that all over as i know its not but there are certain areas where it is.

im not disputing that some areas have alot of ethnic people....

But another point is that a lot of these people are third and fourth generations.. so they are english.

Just coz they have a different skin colour.. or belief.. doenst make them any less british than us.

I never said they are less british than us. I stated that they are a minority in some areas thats all.

my mums Thai (incase u hadnt noticed when u see my ugly mug lol) and she wasnt born here, just moved over here for her education and nursing career where she met my white british SOB of a father so no, im not sayin Im british thru and thru but I am sayin that it doesnt feel like we are allowed to celebrate being British cos it might 'upset' the minorities???

as for the meet and ur partner, yes i am goin and no he will not offend me, in fact i will probably be more jealous if he tans better than me as when i saw ur pics of him he has a similar skin tone to me lol

Yes we DO have to start excepting others cultures and beliefs, and many many people already do! Its just got to catch on I guess!

No I know there are more than two cultures/beliefs!......I was just making a point and trying to reframe from using 'whites' and 'Asians' as I didn't want to start putting everyone is boxes. Besides I would have been here all day listing them!

I would love acceptance to catch on, unfortunately since 9-11 (or jihad as some wish to call it ) I think it's only going to get worse before it gets better. These are not my views, unfortunately it's how I see the world is going and groups like the BNP just infuel these further
