The election tomorrow...

Beacuse I'm quite involved with the EDP and (the campaign for an English parliament) well before Dan, I used to be anyways! I got contacted by the guy that runs the Bucks BNP branch asking me to go to a meeting. NO you're alright mate, think I'll give that a miss!

ive voted once.. and that was for my doctor.... and only becuase he was saying he was going to make more buses go along the closest route to me

im not voting this year, becuase ive not really kept up to date with it all the last few months.

But if any of them are talking about pumping loads of money into the surgical side of the NHS they have my vote! :rotfl:

i dont like any of them, vile slimeballs :x
tell ya who i would vote for:
- someone who stops all immigrants comin in cos they piss me off
- puts more money for the nhs
- pays for better buses & trains
- gives school teachers the cane again to keep horrible schoolkids in line
- politicians and celebs bein paid 'normal' wages
- theres prob loads more but there the ones that i thought of first lol

rant over

I wouldnt vote, I dont see the point when they all lie... Might as well leave it up to people who are really passionate about that kinda thing :?

I dont vote either, i wouldn't trust any of them!

Well said!

I'm voting Labour.

I live in a strong Labour foothold and am generally happy with my local council. I certainly don't think the Conservatives would do a better job and there really is no other realistic contender at this point.

I agree it's sometimes hard to find redeeming qualities in our politicians and parties but am unsure what point not voting at all makes? More young people have voted for Big Brother than in elections over recent years and I find that very sad. :(

Women died to give us this opportunity and so many women worldwide still don't have the freedom to vote. Apathy does make us say 'what's the point' but how are we ever going to change things if we don't even try?

can i just say for the people that said stop all immigrants coming in.
god forbid, but what if the things that are happening in their countries happened here and we needed to escape to another country?? would you want other countries to refuse you and your families entry???
i think thats a narrow minded even discriminative point of veiw. sorry.

I agree! I always vote, if everyone who said "whats the point" DID ACTUALLY VOTE then maybe it would make a difference!

I think a lot of people just dont have a clue what its all about anyways DH is 25 and has never voted. He said he doesnt know enough about it to vote and people should stop putting banners up that say "vote labour" and should start actually saying WHY we should vote labour.

:? I dont know the difference

We haven't had much info through the door this time which is a shame, I do like to read the "promises" of each party. Only Labour have bothered, and for me it's a toss-up between them and the greens - depends who will do a better job on the recycling.

Just imagine a modern Britain with no immigration....

We wouldn't be speaking English - the name English comes from the Anglo peoples who came here from Europe,

We wouldn't have fish and chips (developed either in France, or brought in by Jewish immigrants depending on which version you read, and there's more versions I'm sure lol),

None of us would be Christian,

No curry, spag bol, pizza etc,

No royal family,

And if you want to take it really far back, no people LMAO as we all descended from humanoids in Africa anyway - but I agree that's probably a bit far lol.

Exactly mummykay :D Also Prince Philip is Greek lol.

I just read that wrong.
I was sat wondering what him being a geek had to do with it :rotfl:

I think people are putting asylum seekers and immigrants into the same group when they are different. Immigrants come here to live and pay their way get a job etc. Asylum seekers are people from countries where they need to escape. There are tons of Aussie immigrants and people from america, do you class them as ones that piss you off? I think you mean people who sponge off the country are the ones who piss you off. Much of them being our own people ;) I think we do need to limit the immigration at the moment though, the more countries who join the EU the more people come to work here which is just making british people basically lazy. It's an excuse for people not to have to work because all the jobs are going now more people are coming over here. I know people who work here and will purposely have children here and then go back home with enough money but they can still claim our benefit for their children, that I don't agree with. I think we need to take a look at the whole system to be honest.

Sorry I don't really have a great grasp of politics so most of this could sound like garbage

Well said strangeness!

I have to say im VERY disapointed to see that 4 people have said they are voting BNP!!!!

Do you know what thier agenda is or have you been taken in by the hype??

I campaigned against these nazis for years  :wall: :wall: :wall:
