The Clomid Thread - 6 BFP's!

Iv just started my 3rd round today hun

i was actually discussin this with my mum earlier she said it would b funny if we hav to go the whole hog an hav ivf for first baby then conceive naturally after that

I know wot u mean about gut feeling hun im convinced i hav at least 1 dodgy tube

Basically we paid to see the consultant and he said if we wanted to try clomid whilst waiting for hsg we could and I then went back on the nhs list. They initially gave me 3 rounds and then when we last spoke I was given another 3. I'm not taking anymore after this one though as seeing the consultant in oct and I always thought clomid worked quickly. Like you I have a feeling something is up and it just won't happen but I'm sure most ladies feel this way.

When we see the consultant in oct I'm fully expecting an hsg (as was mentioned on phone) and maybe a lap at some point. I have light periods but pain when it ends and had pain for a week after this time which I'm sure can't be normal.

I think you have nothing to lose whilst waiting for an hsg but depends on your personal opinion. You need to do what's right for you Hun xx

I think I'm going to stop after this one, I really want the hsg or hycosy before the last clomid, I hope none of us has anything wrong with our tubes although it kind of would make me sad if it is just not happening for us when there is no issue! I have really bad pain and then a very light period.

If i have to wait a few weeks for the hsg or hycosy I suppose it can't harm me taking the clomid but I hope I get it quite soon after mentioning it xxxxx

Has the clomid changed your cycles Bella? Mine are much longer, I was convinced I was pg when i was 32days, before clomid I was a regualar 29-30days!

I think it would be an amazing feeling getting caught naturally after ivf, I'd love to have 4 children altogether so i wouldn't mind it lol.

Have you not been asked about iui?xxxxx

I had extremely.irregular cycles before clomid hun rangin anythin.from 24 - 80 days but more often than not around 50/60 days ish.
The 2 rounds on clomid my cycles been 35 & 36 days so bit better but gynaecologist doesnt think clomid is workin for me as im still oving a bit late

Oh gosh, 80days is so long, his did you manage?! What day have you been ov'ing? I'm usually 14 but I'm cd15 now and I've not had a fully positive opk yet, line is still slightly lighter! Was much darker today than yest though! I started temping this month after speaking to you but when i put in ff it said it couldn't chart my temps as I'm mainly 9690, under the red line!xxx

I just wanted to quickly say that I had my hsg as part of my work up after a year and half of trying, well before Clomid was even mentioned. I personally would ask for the hsg before taking anymore Clomid, seems pointless taking the Clomid before knowing if there was a blockage! Also after having the hsg there is a high chance of conceiving as the tubes are all fresh! Or so my doc said, I didn't believe him until I googled it! Lol so if I was you I'd start the Clomid on the cycle you have the hsg!

Also I found it didn't hurt, sharp shooting pain when the catheter went in but it last only seconds. Then afterwards a ice a little spotting and mike period type pains. X x x

I personally would ask for the hsg before taking anymore Clomid, seems pointless taking the Clomid before knowing if there was a blockage! Hey girls just popping in, how's everyone doing? I'm cd6 today so taking my last Clomid tablets and then we're going to crack on. Not sure what the plan is BDing wise, last cycle we did 8 nights straight but most of them were prior to ov so I think this time I'd rather BD right before it then of course over it and then for a couple of days after just in case. Phew. Hope everyone's good. x

I think this cycle since we dont really know wen i seem to ov wel just bd every other day or every 2 days to cover ourselves....still in.2 minds as to whether i use opks this cycle or not

weirdly tho yesterday i was telln mum i feel quite positive this cycle which is crazy given last cycle an the news i had...lets hope the optimism is well founded eh

No hun didn't, turned out didn't ovulate regular enough. Found out after being referred to the specialist and was then put on Clomid. X x x

Great that you feel positive hun. My batch of ov tests and cheapies have arrived today so I'm all set. I feel good about this cycle too so hopefully we're on our way to being bump buddies! x

Also, I'd do the ov tests anyway just in case, think I'd be too curious not to lol. X

Bellarina~ I didn't use as many opks this cycle. I had kind decided what's the point and what will be will be, not in a bad way tho. I just couldn't be bothered. I used 6 sticks in total rather than multitude I usually do. As long as you have regular sex your gonna hit the right time lol.

Plus with you knowing what's happening as far as the ivf, it may well happen, kinda takes the 'it has to be this month' away. It's true what they say, usually happens when you least expect it. Lol x x

Just checking in...CD4 today. I think I have finally figured out I have a side effect from Clomid - night sweats! I'd put it down to hot weather previously but it's not so warm now and last night I woke up drenched! It's only taken me 7 rounds to work it out!

I had my IVF blood tests at the doc today (thank goodness the nurse said she'd do them all else the IVF clinic wanted £368!!). It is testing for 11 things and had to be CD 1-5 for LH and FSH. But it's another thing ticked off the list. Just got to get DH to sort his sample now and he has his blood tests on Monday next week. I am getting a wee bit concerned that it might not all be down to me. DH had glandular fever last year and I think that can create fertility problems a bit like mumps :/

yeh i was thinking about cd 12 too hun....i know wot u mean all i seem to do it be twiddling my thumbs waiting either for ov or 2ww to be over with....all that waitingfor 2 days a cycle...1 day for ov...and 1 day for testing xxx

yeh im hoping as long as i keep bding we will be ok...prob last cycle was i thought id ovd because ff said i had so we stopped bding, but prob was i hadnt ovd so think i missed the boat a bit and bd'd too early then too late by the time i realised

Can I possibly join this thread? I've just been put back on Clomid till Jan on 50mg. I had 5 clomid cycles August - Dec last year, and bloods showed I ovulated. And now I'm fresh after my lap I'm hoping for some results xxx
