Hey ladies,

Bellarina, i was just gonna say that progesterone levels begin to fall towards af if there is no fertilized egg. without the fertilized egg the corpus luteum begins to die, results in reduced levels of progesterone. x x x

Thanks bewdleygirl, its starting to sink in now, but still a bit wary as its so early. On the plus side, i have 2 weeks off now so couldnt have come at a better time! x x x

Cani ask you ladies a question...i've asked nicky but im inpatient and i think she may be at work! lol sorry nicky!

How soon should i get in touch with the fertility specialist/gynea?? x x

Your not paranoid, you just wanna know whats happening, its perfect normal to question everything! I've done it loads of time!!

I can however tell you that before the clomid when i had my progesterone tests done one lot came back at 17ml which the doc considered an ovulatory cycle. So for you to have levels of 9.6 the day before af shows her face its pretty good. I'm no doctor but i would say there is a big possiblity that you did indeed ov. Of course you could always ring your docs and ask them?x x

Bella, I agree with Emma your value sounds promising. Your doctor should be able to advise though.

Emma, when I was pregnant in march I booked an appointment with my gp at 5 weeks. They informed my consultant at the hospital. I would of thought you'd only need to notify your gp and just check they'll let your gyno know. Hope this helps xx

Hey girls, haven't posted in a while as I haven't had anything interesting to say really!

I'm cd16 today and still haven't ov'd, clomid is making my cycles longer than usual and I'm also ov'ing later, has this happened with anyone else?

I had my scan on Thur and my follies where 18mm 17mm and 13mm just waiting for my bloods on Friday now, can't believe I have to wait until Monday for the results

Also I just wanted to ask if any of you girls have had the HSG test? I seen the nurse on Thur when I went to the scan and she said if these 3rounds of clomid don't work then I will be having one, I just don't feel like I should have it after clomid I think it should be before, does anyone agree with me? I was planning of not taking the third round until after the test!!

Anyway.....Congratulations Emma, I bet your soooo pleased, I can't wait until I see a bfp! I get so happy when i see a bfp opk!!! Hope everything goes well for you chick!!!!!!xxxxxxxxx

if the hsg is the same as the hycosy scan then yes i think a fair few of us have had it xxx

Now you've mentioned hycosy I realise its that what I'm having, I just googled what the dye test was! How did you find it? Do you think I have a right to say I want that before I go further??xxx

I found it helped a lot to be relaxed while having it. Your whole lady area is in full view as your legs are in stirrup type things. Didnt find it too bad until they inserted the cathater and then the dye. but at the worst it was just like awful period pains. nothing worse than that! You can say no to it. but i dont think they will offer you any treatment unless you have it xxx

oh and i had mine before the clomid - seems pointless giving you 3 rounds of clomid if it turns out that you have a bloackage in your tubes!! xx

Ahhh so i won't be taking my dp with me then, he makes me feel uncomfortable when i have my scans never mind legs in the air for that haha! I've heard it gives your cramping so i just thought I could just my usual pain killers for af! I mean do you think I have a right to say I want the hycosy before my third round, like you I think its pointless having clomid before finding out if my tubes are actually intact and working!xxxxx

Hi Tillie, I've not had a hycosy either and I'm on my second round of clomid just now. I think the consultants will know what they're doing but there's no harm in asking for it sooner if you'd rather. I still think carrying on with clomid while waiting is not a bad thing.

I'm on my second round too but I just can't see the point in taking the third and wasting the clomid when i can check my tubes first, I know deep down there is something wrong and its not just going to happen, I have the worst period pain ever, I collapse at time its that bad, but I've never been checked for endo! Do you think I sound like a spoilt child by asking for this? Don't worry I'm not going to be affended if you say yes lol, I'd rather an honest opinion xxx

I don't know much about endo I'm afraid. I don't think you sound spoilt at all, sometimes you have to push harder for tests and you're quite within your rights to ask.

I don't really but its always been a thought that that's what my bad monthlys and fainting where! I just have this gut feeling my tubes are not as they should be!! But then I can be negative in ways, until I'm told I don't have something, my mind tells me I have it!!xxx

Hey tillie iv not had hsg either and on my 3rd round of clomid....gynaecologist had originally said if not pg after 3 rounds then hed refer for hsg...however because im not oving before cd 21 hes referred me to ivf wales...so i assume tgeyl do it tho i wont get my appt for about 5 montgs

i wish id already had it vefore clomid tho but hey ho guess i just gotta trust them

Basically we paid to see the consultant and he said if we wanted to try clomid whilst waiting for hsg we could and I then went back on the nhs list. They initially gave me 3 rounds and then when we last spoke I was given another 3. I'm not taking anymore after this one though as seeing the consultant in oct and I always thought clomid worked quickly. Like you I have a feeling something is up and it just won't happen but I'm sure most ladies feel this way.

When we see the consultant in oct I'm fully expecting an hsg (as was mentioned on phone) and maybe a lap at some point. I have light periods but pain when it ends and had pain for a week after this time which I'm sure can't be normal.

I think you have nothing to lose whilst waiting for an hsg but depends on your personal opinion. You need to do what's right for you Hun xx

So have you had all three rounds now Bella? Will you still get a hsg with ivf? Ahh do you have to wait 5months just for the consultation?? I fully trust them its just I really do have a feeling something is up, think you have to go with your gut instinct don't you?!

A www Bella I really hope you can tell the hosp you don't need the ivf cause you got a bfp on your own!!!

One of my clients (I'm a hairdresser, not a hooker lol) had clomid, iui and eventually ivf and now has a 5month old, a week ago she got the shock of her life finding out she was 6weeks pg naturally!!! I hope this happens with us!
