I think my first AF was long too - around 6 days - then the rounds after that, they've gotten shorter. Just hope it's nothing to do with womb lining thinning!

If so.....Hey everyone! Ive just started clomid for the first time! I'm currently on 50mg cd 2-6 on cd 10 i had the u/s as they where shut cd 11, my follicles where 14mm but they said that by cd 11 they would be 16mm. Its now cd 16 and I'm due for a blood test on CD 21. Where is everyone else up to with it? Is there any advice or tips you can give me??xxxxxxs

Welcome! The follie growth sounds great hun, it's good that you're being monitored.

I'm currently on my 4th round, on CD3 today. I take 100mg on cd2-6 but I'm not being monitored so relying on ov tests really. I've been having natural periods for the first time in my life though so am assuming it's all working! Just waiting on that BFP!

Not really sure if I've got any tips for you, all I can say is join in on here if you want to, there's lots of support and always someone around to help out with any questions.

Oooh thanks, I was routing around the site for it!

So does everything I written sound like its going to plan, I never think to question it when I'm with my doc its always when ive left I realise. So why is it that you don't get monitored? I only get 3 cycles on clomid, he told me after that I would have to try icsi.

Have you ever had a bfp? I can't wait for the day I see two pink lines! Do you have any side effects? I've had the worst hot flushes and mood swings, I feel more stressed now than ever and I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be calmer now I'm having help....finally!

I've not posted in a while as there's been no updates - nothing happening and AF didn't appear. I hit CD50 on Monday so started back on provera to bring on a bleed.

Fingers crossed next week AF will appear and I can start round 2 of clomid with dose increased to 100mg. To top things off this month, I've broken my wrist - a slippy dancefloor and dodgy dancing a a friends wedding on Friday! Going on holiday 3 weeks today so I'm hoping by then my arm will be healing and the clomid will have worked so we can get lots of BDing done on hols

How long have you been on clomid for eclairef? Do you get monitored? What is probera for I've never heard of it xxxxxxx

Tillie - Everything sounds good for you so far hun. I've no idea why I'm not being monitored, I didn't think to ask lol. It was only when I'd left the office that I thought of it lol! I was given Clomid for 6 cycles but I don't know what will be next for us if we don't get a BFP.

I've had the same side effects hun, the hot flushes are awful.

Hi Tillie, I've only done 1 round of clomid on 50mg. I got a scan on cd11 and there was nothing happening at all. Did opks throughout with no surge and day 21 bloods with a progesterone result of 2. Provera is to bring on a bleed so I can start round 2 of clomid at 100mg. I will get another scan on cd12 to see if things have improved this round. They seem to be monitoring me quite closely which I find great to know what's happening. What about you?

Eclairef, what is a good cd21 result? I have my cd21 bloods on Monday, I am absolutely petrified of needles so this is a day I'm dreading. I've also got to book a cd28 bloods this month as my cycle before my first this was 39 days when its usually very regular at 29-30 days! I've had a lot of support from my hospital, when I have been in or phoned they are so assuring and helpful. Xxxxx

No I dont have any scans or blood tests done but it's a good sign that my AF arrives on time and naturally. Yes I work it out myself using ov tests.

It's my first treatment, yes, I've had tests done and DH has had his swimmers tested too. X

As far as I'm aware around 30 is a normal result for 21 day bloods. I'm also terrified of needles, make sure you ask to lie down when bloods are being taken and look the other direction and you should be ok.

Miss j - yeah that's a good thing, mine is regular and natural aswel. I think its strange that we can't conceive naturally! I was using ov tests myself for months before going to the hospital, they work out expensive when you use them for so long don't they. I had all tests aswel as my dp and all was fine!xxxxxx

Eclairef - I've never thought of laying down will try that Monday, as for not looking I can't help myself ha! My own worst enemy!xxxxxx

Well I'm finally ovulating...round 2 of clomid. Got a strong pos opk yest & today, today is cd 18 so its a few days later than last round. Well, that's about eventful as it gets for me! Lol. We will see what round 2 brings x
