The Clomid Thread - 6 BFP's!

yeh i think il go to drs on monday (il be 7dpo on sunday)
yeh i would be inclined to trust my opk and biggest thing of all, my body! as i was actually doubled over with cramps sunday (cd 23) and had ewcm and also had quite alot of spots, which have gone now.the only thing that makes me doubt it is girls have said only temps confirm ov as opks just let you know when a surge is coming but doesnt mean ur body actually does it

this ttc malarky is so confusing!! xxx

I never temped cos I couldn't get my head around it!! I think you have definitely Ov'd Hun so don't worry about it xxx

i really hope so

im hoping im pg as il be testing the day before we go to newquay with my parents and our dogs and iv been saying for months id love to be pg on our hol as itl be babies first holiday lol
plus if i see any cute baby things there i can indulge lol (tho if i see anything unique there i may do it anyway lol)
hows ur pregnancy going hun?
xxx

I hope you are too :)

It's going really well Hun! The rhesus negative has freaked me out a bit but other than that everything is perfect so far :) x

thats fab, wont be long till u get your 12 week scan! xxx

Got to ring between 3.30 and 4.30 tomorrow to book it xxx

Temping is quite sensitive to change tho, I think you have to do it abs perfectly, or it's not very accurate. I would trust the OPK's, EWCM and your gut feeling.

Yes the OPK's only measure the fact that your body is gearing up to fire an egg out, but I think it's fairly unlikely that your body would try and fail to ov every month, unless you have some other underlying issue like PCOS (sorry i can't remember if you have this or not).

But yeah get "day 21" bloods done to know for sure.

Possibly 7DPO and getting bored!! CD19 today I think and haven't BDd last 2 nights as we've not really been in the right mood - we just found out my father-in-law has got cancer :(

But the last two days I've had a breakout of spots on my face. Do you think this could be related to ovulation? If so, do you think the spots would show before/during/after ovulation? It's just I worry that we have missed O, even though I think it happened a week ago. Hmmm!

I have my blood test on Monday which will actually be CD23 but CD21 is Saturday and I thought best two days late than one day early. So I'll wait for the results of that before wasting any tests.

Hey hun

ive just had 3 lots of cd21 bloods done and got another 3 coming up. When i spoke to my gyne about having the bloods done, as i get them done at the hospital, he told me if cd21 falls on a weekend to get it done either the day before or the day after. Example cd21=saturday to get the test done friday likewise if it falls on a sunday to get it done on the monday. He said a day either way is alot easier to determine than 2 days.

Just thought i'd let you know. Your doc may prefer you wait todays, just didnt want you wasting a blood test :D

Good luck x x x

Thanks but my docs were a pain in the ass over giving me an appointment anyway and I had to stress it had to be on a particular day for a reason so I don't think there's any way they'll give me a blood test tomorrow. Oh well hope it's not too far out.

Nicky is the rhesus negative thing because of your blood type? I am O- and had to have an injection before baby (can't remember how many weeks) and another just after giving birth. Apart from it being in my hip/bum and hurting a bit it was all ok.

The glucose test is FAR worse than that...I vomited the whole lot up 2 minutes after they took the blood! I think when I finally do get PG again I will avoid going for that one!

Yeah yet again my body has to be difficult and I'm A negative!! Ive also got to go for the glucose test at 26 weeks cos of my PCOS! Stupid stupid body lol! X

my mum was telling me yesterday because of her blood type (shes got the type where it can be given to anyone regardless of their blood type) she had to have certain injections after having her MC.....think it may have been the glucose one dont quote me tho.

Aww ok hun. My docs is crap too when it comes to getting appointments lol so I don't go to them. I take my little slip straight to the pathology lab at my local hospital and get It done there.

If you have the pathology slip/bag thingy you could go to your local hospital...?? I find the ladies there are far better at taking blood too. Quick but gentle. Last time I went to the doc for a blood test the nurse practically threw the needle at my arm, squirted blood everywhere and left my arm with a huge bruise!! Never again! lol x x

I don't have the slip - only got one of those when I saw the consultant in March so now I just go along to the docs and ask them to do a progesterone test and they have not quibbled so far. I think it'll be ok, I feel positive this cycle but still know I have two more cycles left so am trying to be chilled about it.

I hope the chilled approach works...for both of us!

Trying not to think about things too much. On my first round of clomid, feeling optimistic but havent pinned all my hopes on this being the month. Gotta be honest tho, this cycle seems to be taking forever! Im on cd10 but feel like i should be on cd 20!!!!

Suppose it coz i'm waiting for something to happen, some cramping, stabbing....something that will show me these tablets are working!! But i think its a little early for signs of ov

I'm gonna drive myself insane before this cycle is over :roll:7

Good luck hun x x

Good luck ladies for this cycle......hope you're all feeling ok. I keep checking back to see how you're all doing, hope there are some new BFPs very soon :)

The chilled approach worked for me when I was on clomid so would definitely recommend it. I'd planned a holiday for our second round of clomid and I was so focused on that being the 'lucky' cycle that I relaxed on the first cycle and bingo! So I shall definitely try and stay chilled again.

I'm on CD 32 today and it looks like the painkillers I took after my op have stopped me ovulating :( My bodies tried to gear up for OV as I've been temping and doing opk's but it just hasn't managed it. So I'm desperately hoping AF arrives soon so that I can start clomid. Who would think I'd be desperate to get my period, lol!

I've just done an opk as I'm having a reflexology session this afternoon and I was going to ask her to help bring on my period. So I thought I'd check to make sure nothing was going on and I've got a second line...yay!! It's not strong enough to be a positive but it's not far off....maybe tomorrow I might get a positive, fingers crossed :)

Better get busy then I guess just in case!

Have you found reflexology really helpful with TTC? A few people have said I should do it.

Ive found it really helpful and I'm sure it helped get me pregnant. I tried acupuncture for 10 months but it didn't make me feel relaxed, so I found a lady who does reflexology and reiki. Just before I started seeing her the hospital discovered I had a 3cm blood filled cyst on my right ovary so I had to have a laparoscopy to check for endo. miracously after 4 reflex sessions the cyst disappeared, my consultant was quite surprised when he opened me up and found it had gone. Leading up to taking clomid I had reflex then once I was on clomid I swapped to reiki. She believed that the body needs to do its own thing whilst on clomid so the reiki was supposed to help keep my body balanced and relaxed. My reflexologist specialises in fertility, I just found her online. Where abouts do you live hun? x
