well it all started when my OH lost his job. we said as soon as he gets a full time job again we'll start trying. so in the august he got a job and i came off the pill in the september had my usual period. then the next month never had 1. we didnt plan on trying for a baby until january i just wanted 2 get the pill outta my system and use condoms 4 the time being. we had unprotected sex like twice i think. guess it only takes the once ay!
i never even thought i could be pregnant when i was feeling so tired. i did 4 tests over 4 weeks and they were all negative. i just put the missed period down 2 coming off the pill. another week later OH came home with a test he said he knew i was pregnant. i was still convinced i wasnt as i kept havin period like pains so i kept thinking i was gonna come on my period.
any way i did the test 2 shut him up lol. and i even walked off down stairs while he looked at the result because i just knew it wud be negative again. next thing i knew he was shouting. "MELISSA ITS POSITIVE"!!! so thought he was joking.
we were over the moon.
in my eyes finley was ment 2 arrive early as steves nan died in the april and i think that he was ment 2 be around just after she died 2 cheer every1 up .

my 1st time i was 17 id had unprotected sex once with my partner and after a while started feeling really funny hot flushes and dizziness well been so naieve i thought i was starting an early menapause was sure of it, but when i was 2 days late i decided to test, so set off to work and called to poundland on the way picked up a test went to work and did it it come up straight away before the control line well i was shocked and had to go home as i was abit upset, but now have a lovely 2 year old, and 3 months pregnant with my 2nd this time it was planned

i took a test on the sat as i was planing to go out and it came up negative, was like right i can drink yey! i drank sooooo much it was untrue! BUT i didnt even get tipsy, that rang alarm bells as the same thing happened when i caught with codie(aprently your blood is watered down when ur preggers so that contributed to me not getting drunk), so did a test on monday was faintly positive, then i did another one weds and it came straight up and within a hour i was at the doctors lol took the test with me showed her and shes refered me to the midwife and told me to think positive, today went to work and been there for like a hour when i started to spot very lightly so they sent me home as i wasnt risking anything happening, but i went straight to the chemist and got a test and rushed home to do it and got a positive on a digital saying 2 -3 weeks

We weren't trying at first, weren't preventing. I thought that I was going to have a 35-37 day long cycle, so I wouldn't ovulate for a while. I started testing with OPK's from day 14, and got very faint lines. I was going to skip one of the days,but just decided to go ahead and do another one (still thinking it was too early for me ovulate, another week to go). It came up positive! That was on Wednesday the 8th September, so I was curious as to what that would mean for my cycle. My cycles are usually long, from 35 to 37 days, which means I must normally have a long luteal phase if I ovulate that soon...

So, the next day, the 9th, I had very sharp AF type pains, which I immediately recognized as having to do with ovulation, based on the + OPK's. We went ahead and got together that night (although it might have been too late then).We'd already got together 2 days before the positive OPK, so I could have got caught anyway from that!

I did a pregnancy test at about 7DPO, but nothing.Of course it was too early! Waited until 10 DPO, allowing for conception, and the few days for implantation to take place...and I got a verrryy faint line.It took nearly the entire time limit for it to appear, and you had to hold it by the window. We even got a magnifying glass and you could see it with that!

So later that day I did another and it was an undeniable, but faint line! I couldn't believe the difference a few hours made. I just felt nervous because we took a chance and were blessed to conceive like that, but it means that we're going to have a seventh addition to the family...how to tell the older kids, our parents....yikes! I can't stop doing tests every so often, so I've now got a progression from light to dark, up to 22 DPO. I'll try to upload a pic later.

Just as an aside, the very first + test I ever got, with my first daughter, was a shock. I was actually trying for a baby, and was two weeks late, but felt premenstrual so never thought I could be pregnant. I took a predictor test (used to have a dot) and as soon as the urine went over, there was immediately a dark, red dot. I was actually shaking and my heart was racing...so exciting!There's noting like that first experience.

i have being trying for 16 months and i so want to tell the OH i am pregnant.

I was pretty sure I was ovulating over the weekend but didnt think I'd get any lol, we had a huge argument on the Saturday night and ended up having make up sex at 3am LOL and more make up sex on the Sunday night too.
The following Saturday I had REALLY bad heartburn (which I never get except when I was pg with Sam) so I thought oooo I wonder ???
I waited till the next Friday as I figured I would be approx 12dpo and a first response will deffo give me a BFP if I was, (I usually only use cheap ones but I was so sure) anyway I tested on the Friday with FMU and got my BFN
Absolutely gutted!!! Then started spotting brown, even more gutted!
So I got extremely drunk on Friday and Saturday night, got up Sunday morning, still spotting but only brown, (It would normally have turned red by now) and my boobs were killing me. Anyway, I decided I wasnt gonna waste my last first response so I grabbed an ebay cheapie and tested with FMU and got anothetr BFN, I went in the room, drank my coffee, checked my emails and returned to kitchen to make porridge, picked up wee stick to chuck away AND............ VERY faint second line!!! But it had been about 20 mins, ran upstairs, grabbed my first response kit (still had wee saved in egg cup LOL) and tested BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thats my story, I KNEW it from the heartburn at just 6dpo xxxx

I was convinced that we hadn't done it the month I got my BFP. 11DPO I had a small bleed (more like spotting really) which lasted about 24 hours. Up until before it stopped I was sure this was AF.
I thought it was odd when the spotting stopped but didn't really think anything of it until 2 days later when I thought there could be another reason for it stopping.
I did an ebay cheapie that noght and thought I could see a line but it was so faint. At that point I didn't think I could be pregnant.
Next morning I tested again with ebay cheapie and couldn't see a line, so used a first response. Got a positive! I couldn't believe it. I grabbed my phone and text my OH who was staying away with work. His phone was off because he had a flat battery!
Went to work, couldn't think of anything else all day. When I got home I took another first response and CBD. Another 2 postives!!
Finally got hold of my OH who's first question was 'Who's is it?'!!!!
A week on, I'm still in complete shock, won't believe it until I see bean in my scan.

We were TTC for a year for the 1st six months we were just letting nature take its course and werent getting to stressed about it after that I looked more into ovulation and cycles and all that stuff. Didn't tell OH as didnt want it to become to pressured he just thought he was irresistble for the times I knew I was ovulating!

Anyway we were still trying and we happened to go to a fortune teller. It turned out we had actually got our cat from her a year before. She mentioned that her cat had just had a litter of kittens. OH looked at me and said we could take another kitten if we wanted. The fortune teller looked at us and started laughing we asked her what was so funny and and she said you wont be leaving here with a kitten you will be leaving here with a baby. A week later I found out I was pregnant!!

First Time Round - I Had Only Been With My Partner A Few Months, Missed A Period, Though Nothin’ Of It. Week On Still No Period. I Thought No, Can’t Be. The Next Week I Felt Like I Had Been Hit By A Bus! So Thought Do A Test. I Took It To My Friends House, Did A Wee An Then Left It In Her Bathroom An Ran Away lol When It Come Up BFP She Bought It Downstairs An I Was In Shock, But Then Thought Hey!!! Went Home To Mum An Cried, Went To OH An Cried Some More. A Week Later I Was Over The Moon, So Excited, I Was Goin’ To Be A Mummy.

This Time - I Stopped Takin’ My Pill After Decidin’ We Wanted Another. As Soon As 4 Weeks Passed, My Period Never Came. Didn’t Want To Get My Hopes Up Until That Bus Came Again, Knocked Me Straight Over! I Got A Test On The Way Home, Ran Through The Front Door An Sort Of Blabbered Somethin’ To OH. I Had Waited To Wee That Long I Was Ready To Pop. So After Not Understandin’ A Word He Came Up Stairs. I Just Said “Look” I’m Pregnant!

I Hope Your Time Comes Soon, At First It Was A Shock For Me. But This Time, With It Bein’ Planned I Couldn’t Imagine What I Would Of Been Like If I Got A BFN! Good Luck x x x

We'd been TTC for 10 months with no luck at all. I had really long cycles for the 1st 6 cycles so I decided to take Agnus Castus to try and sort out my cycles. It worked and 3 months later I got my BFP!!

I did a test on the Sunday and got the faintest of lines so refused to believe we'd done it, then I did 2 tests from the same pee the following Tuesday, again really faint lines. My OH was saying 'nope you're not pregnant' I was saying 'yes I am'. In the end I did the clear blue digi (same pee) and got 'Pregnant 1-2'. I took it into the bedroom, waved it at my OH nad said 'there see it's written in black & white, is that enough proof for you?'!! Romantic hey?! hahaha

Well... I had really long cycles, 50, 52, 58 days etc and when we decided to TTC I started to do some reading, googling etc about long cycles and I read a few horror stories about annovulatory cycles and started to panic that maybe I wasn't even OV-ing at all. I then read some great reviews about Agnus Castus and how this could restore hormone imbalances & encourages ovulation, so I thought, sod it - I'll give it a go

Used cheapy OPK's too which I didn't really get on with, I found them hard to decipher because I always had two lines and I didn't know what a positive looked like. I gave up on them after about 10 days of nothing. Then, about a week later, one of the other girls who had been having probs with OV too, got her surge; I was v. jealous and thought "Ugh, I wish I'd carried on with mine!" and thought, "Oh well, no harm in testing now..." the very next day I got a positive surge! I was delighted!

So, the BD-ing commenced - luckily we had also done the deed two days previous! But, the weird thing was that my only symptoms were that of being absolutely convinced AF was coming. The only that was different was that my skin was really bad, I was cheesed off because it was the week of the Christmas parties LOL! I didn't have any IB, sore boobs, none of the other the typical PG symptoms at all.

So then the Saturday night (12DPO I think), before X Factor started - I don't even know what my whim was - I tested (at this point, I think I posted in my TTC journal that I could feel AF and I was gutted I hadn't got a bottle of red for the night...) and then went down to watch tv. In the break, I came up and saw a very faint whisper. I posted pics of the test on here and some said BFP, others weren't sure - hubby and I were really thrown. Especially hubby, all of a sudden it was very real for him... so the next morning I thought I'd crack out the CBD's (which I can highly recommend) and there it was "Pregnant 1-2" I was totally stunned but overjoyed. I think the evening before after getting the faint line, something in me just *knew* - hubby said the same

I feel very blessed. Technically, after we cracked OV we conceived first time round which I know is very lucky but to be fair, I tried to be practical and realistic about TTC. I knew I had iffy cycles so I knew I had to do all I could to get them regular - Agnus Castus is amazing, I can also recommend this highly! And once I knew when I was OV'ing, at that point I felt like "I could actually be making a baby now" as opposed to guess work. It was very enlightening and exciting.
