Hi I think everyone knows me on here now as I've been here since 2017 trying for a baby.

I am just so utterly fed up and I feel like giving in. I've became that women who ttcs for years and years who goes through ivf and miscarried

I am that women who is infertile and depressed and just living her worst life

How can I find hope that 1 of our frozen embryos will be our take home baby after getting so far and loosing the pregnancy 3 days later.

Are there any women on here who have had a early loss in ivf and went on to have a successful pregnancy with FET?

It's the not knowing why it happened that's killing me. Why did our embryo not Continue to develop when it was a 5AA hatching blastocyte

Just so many whys. I feel like I am sinking lower and lower

My sister lost one with her first round of ivf at a similar stage to you.

She went on to have a frozen embryo transfer on her second round of ivf and that was successful. So there is hope.

I’m reading ‘it starts with the egg’ and that explains why even though eggs make it to the 5 day stage there is no guarantee that there are no chromosomal abnormalities which is the main reason for early losses. Iwould recommend it as a book x

Hi alexis.

Ive had two friends lose their early ivf babies and go on to have healthy happy pregnancies with theor frosties. The clinics and consultant can never 100% know why the embryos don't take or don't last. My consultant after my 1st round failed just said to us that "sadly nature doesn't always work" which infuriated the hell out of me at the time but sadly its true. They don't know what goes on in our bodies once those embryos are in, it is just up to nature.

I'm sending you a huge hug. Just look after yourself and put your energy into your frosties xx

My friend had a fail first transfer and then her second one was successful. I think it’s really common for the first one to fail. Probably because of all the stress your body is put under to make the eggs.

This might give you some hope... I made friends with a girl on this forum who had been TTC for 6 years. She’d had two failed IVF attempts and finally had a natural bfp. Her daughter was born last week :) x

Oh bless you ...

Look at the positives - you have many!
Your 1st attempt at IVF gave you
Frosties - this is huge! You also ended up with a top grade hatching embryo - amazing ! In 2 rounds of ivf I’ve not even got a blastocyst

Sometimes it just doesn’t work and we will never know why- science can’t do it all.

Our clinic is pioneering some v interesting research on significantly improved success rates for frozen transfers. As the body and womb has had time to rest and recover from the ivf process. They even offer a freeze all service if you are lucky enough to have a few good ones.

So I think you may have better luck than you think woth your frozen one

Stay strong xxx
