Stressed from tied tongue and lip

At title says my son seems to have both and not got my appointment till 21st September. He has recently been struggling on his bottle again any tips to help him would be helpful going out of my head no sleep and he isn't taking big volumes. Also is sick every feed so thinking maybe reflux too x

Totally give up now. Rang hospital near us today they said nothin they will do just to ring doctors or Chester to try and bring appointment forward. So Fucking pissed off he will be over 3 months old by the time they do it if they do it on that day.

Not sure what to suggest? Maybe contact your local bfing group as they might be able to put you In touch with someone who can cut it privately.

Have you rung your local health visitors for help? What's his weight like? If its affecting his weight they will HAVE to do something. Try your GP again?? How frustrating you poor thing! Xxx

im no help at all with this situation but kanga posted similiar about tongue tie and the operation and i know she managed to carry on breastfeeding, so you might wanna contact her for some advice as she may be abe to help xxx

Thanks ladies just had a good night with him so feeling less stressed he finally took his bottle and 4 oz x

Hey hun, that is ridiculous in making u wait that long for an appt. I thought my 4 weeks wait was bad enough! I don't really know what to suggest as I didn't really have any problems with giving him a bottle when I expressed. He was extremely messy, but I've never had problems where he refused food.

Is he gaining weight? Cos if he isn't then u might be able to get them to push the appt forward as they can't leave him when losing weight.

Unfortunately it really is just a perseverance waiting game until it is sorted out. Hope he continues to take his bottle xx

I rang today left a message hope something comes from it. His weight is fine just worries me though when he has bad days where he won't take more than two ounces from a bottle and that takes forever.
