Sickness

Oh right... it just freaked me out that it reads "do not use in early pregnancy" and I'm very tentatively pregnant after 2 losses, and don't really want to take the chance.
I guess I'm just a worry-wart, but still....
I think the thrush is clearing up by itself now, anyway xD

Wonder if Northern Irish babies make you particularly sick - my hubby is from NI! :-)

Re the folic acid, my friend got put on a higher dose of it by her doctor and was feeling really sick - the midwife told her it was too high and that too much folic acid causes nausea.

Possibly!
It's my OH that was born in NI, I'm originally Welsh, but we moved back to NI last March.... Hmm... I'm blaming him then!

Aha, thanks for that... I'll have to stick to the regular dose then, methinks!

I'll go with that - its our hubbies faults that we are sick! Poor thing, I think hes feeling bad already since theres nothing he can do to help. Small world - he is from very near Lisburn!

I was just telling the OH about our theory, and he said it's the throughbred blood! haha!
Ooh, where's he from?

lol prob is the irish haha!! well my thrush was excessive and my gp ex plained that it said on leaflet not to use etc but that its just canesten hadnt tested on pregnant women BUT there were independent researches and it was proven ok etc... spose it was good he was honest but anyways i googled it and loads of women on loadsa forums had used it no prob lol... he said alot of things arent advised in early pg but that it was because there are so many mcs in early pg and the companies just didnt want lawsuits against them etc... xx

Ohh I see!
Another thing too, the script said Canesten, but it wasn't Canesten packaging when I got it home and looked? Should I go and complain about that?

no they have just made the same scripts now with diff labels as free scripts now so its cheaper i spose they need to save money some way... but if they say theyre giving u something and they give u summit else it has the EXACT same ingredients they have just sourced a cheaper brand. i read it in a leaflet in the hosp. they also advise you buy cheaper brand stuff over the counter as a lot are made in the same place same ingredients xx

Oh right :S
My S-I-L had the same problem, they kept giving her co-codamol and K-Pak instead of Solpadol, and it's only Solpadol that doesn't give her migraines, so she had to be very specific due to the money-saving scheme of things.
It took her 3 chemists to get the right ones that were on the script! Even though the Dr. had written it out specifically.

So do you reckon that pessary and the cream will be alright then?
I know the cream should be, but I just wasn't sure about the pessary... :S

Hope you get rid of the thrush soon, not fun on top of everything else.

Sickness worse than ever here, think this will definitely be an only child if this is what being pregnant is like!

My hubby is from Dromara, tiny wee place. My SIL lives in Lisburn though x

Oh right, cool, I think Dromara is about a half hour's drive from Lisburn or something like that.

The sickness hasn't been so bad since posting that now! Haha!
I've been having brekkie in bed now, and lowered my folic acid dose to 400ug or whatever it is, so i'm feeling tonnes better now!

Hi, for the first few weeks I was unable to get out of bed day or night without being so sick, I finally went to the doctor and she gave me tablets for the sickness - you put one below your lip about 5am each morning and then they dissolve themselves. I have never felt relief like it and when it was time to get up I felt normal. Totally safe to take during pregnancy, however the good news is it wont last forever mines lasted to I was about 14 weeks.
