** September 2014 Mummies! **

Midwife appointment at 9.40am! Exciting!

Hahaha I am pretty much as far away from you ladies as possible (Brighton!)

Just got in from work and am absolutely starving - eating a huge bowl of cereal :)

Hope you appointment goes well tomorrow Soph... Think I may still be in bed then!

I think I win in the far away from you stakes :) Cairns Australia - I am literally on the pther side of the world lol

Good luck at your appt Soph, I'm along the coast from you in Portsmouth :)

Hopeful, you certainly are the furthest away lol xx

My wee mans been quiet again..ive had some chocolate and a cold drink, having a lie down now to see if he moves xx

Ive had a few wriggles..hes such a lazy bum lol. Not sure if hes moved position xx

Glad your midwife appointment was ok Ashbee, hope yours has gone ok Soph. :)

Wow! Your really do win there hopeful! Can we swap places? Haha.

Has your little man had a wriggle about yet Sarah?

How's everyone else doing today?
I'm having a 'down in the dumps' day. I don't know about everyone else but I'm so uncomfortable. My SPD is awful and I'm getting no sleep. Then my little boy picked up an awful sickness bug and was up literally all night vomiting a couple of nights ago, he eventually settled at 6am...bless him, so I'm just dead on my feet.
And I also feel like a Michelin man on steroids lol, ahhh it's such a glamorous time isn't it. And I have cankles. Hate cankles lol.
Sorry for the moan girls...Wednesday morning blues xx

Sorry your having a bad day mrsH. Spd is so horrible and its something people really don't understand. It's making me pretty miserable too. Hope your little boy is doing better now? So glad I don't have cankles, least I don't think I have lol

I felt sorry for myself this morning too. No milk, no bread and no car to go to shops. To sore with spd to walk any where to get anything. Wanted to take harry to a farm today (we have a year pass), but hubby kindly reminded me that I probably wouldn't be able to walk around it, talk about depressing :( Cheered myself up a bit my devouring a whole pack on cheddars biscuits with a small bit of help from Harry :) xx

Hey ladies

All went well. We had a little listen to the babies heartbeat and she gave me my Mat B1 certificate. Asides from this she spoke to me about antenatal classes and if I wish to do any (outside of the NHS ones).

She felt my tummy and said something about my uterus being good or something (I switched off a little - oops!)

Ah Kanga, Portsmouth, that is only just down the road!

Hello ladies, feels like ages since I poked my head in here, last few weeks have been crazy! Me and OH moved house two weeks ago, and as I was coming from a house-share with two housemates, the cleaning and sorting process has been very painful and drawn out! But as of yesterday, I have internet in my new house, finally!

I'll be honest, this past week has been hell (Brace yourselves...this is gonna be a long whingey post!). Last Saturday I took my dogs out for a walk by the river, one of them slipped his harness and jumped in for a swim! I wasn't worried, he's a water baby. But it became quickly clear he was struggling to swim against the current that was taking him. Anyway, he got into severe difficulty and I ended up running with my other dog right round to the opposite side of the river to see if I could get to him. He was screaming all the while, panicking cos I was out of sight. When I finally found him, the drop was too severe for him to crawl out or for me to get to him. While I was thinking what to do, my OTHER dog decided to jump in and try to save him! The only problem was, my other dog can't swim, which he quickly remembered and started drowning! So basically seconds later I was in the river, rescuing them both. Got out the river covered in nettle stings, cuts and bruises and then remembered I had my iphone in my pocket :( So that's knackered! That afternoon I managed to fall down the stairs, slipped onto my back and down a few steps which led me to jar my back and left me with a nasty bruise.
So I spent a few days recovering from all that and then went to the hospital yesterday for my GTT. Midwife butchered my left arm taking the first lot of blood, so much so that I can barely manage the gears in my car! It's absolutely covered in purple bruises and swollen to twice the size. I mentioned my fall down the stairs and she then insisted on another blood test and an anti-d shot :( So kind of felt like a pin cushion yesterday, and today my left arm is really hurting, as well as looking quite horrific! Unfortunately my OH got the full brunt of my pain and frustration this morning, so he's in the huff now!

Apologies for the long and self-pitying post! I'm just a bit fed up right now, and it feels like the house is so not ready for the baby yet. Nowhere near :( A little stressed! Hope everyone else is having a slightly less stressful time! x

Don't apologise, we're all entitled to a moan - and this is the best place for it! And don't stress out about the house. At least you're in yours...we were meant to be completing on our sale/purchase on 2 July, but now been told it is going to be another week or so at least. And there is SO much to do before it's ready for baby, to the point we're actually moving in with my parents for a few weeks to get it sorted and let the builders take over.

Stress? Me? Naahh.... ha ha!

dont_panic - that sounds horrible! Are your dogs ok? I couldn't imagine watching my dogs go down the river and not be able to help! :( I also moved last week - well i moved with my mum to another house and in 2 weeks me and OH get the keys to our new house so it will be yet ANOTHER move... at least this time i have everything being delivered new. Its horrible. Glad you have the internet back though! x

Don't Panic - sounds like you've had a really tough time of it! Hope you and your doggies are ok after all that! My dog's not a fan of water at all so I don't have to worry about him jumping in but he has a worrying habit of balancing on the very edge of the riverbank to cock his leg and have a wee, so I'm always really worried about him falling in.

Sorry to hear you're having tough day's Mrs H and Kanga - don't think the weather is helping to cheer anyone up, it's been wet and miserable here all day.

Glad your appointment went well Soph. Just had my 25 week check but it was with my GP not my midwife - she just checked blood pressure, urine sample and babies heartbeat, all were fine. Got my MATB1 as well though so that's another thing checked off!
