** September 2014 Mummies! **

I usually earn around £1000 a week and with maternity allowance I get £130ish!! And I still have to pay shop bills with that, gona be hard I can't have much time off at all :( DH does have 2 jobs and earns enough to keep the house, if he didn't don't know what wed do! Trying to pay off my shop rent now so I don't have to think about it! Fx I can pay of a good couple months in advance!

Got a cute wardrobe of the nursery :)) just a rocking chair to get and I'll have everything jn there :D

Hi babygirl!! Long time no see!

So I mentioned the hip pain to the midwife, who says it isn't spd as that pain is usually at the front rather than my actual hip bones/bones in my backside. So no idea! Either way I suppose there isn't much they can do about it, just sooo painful now. I was hurting yesterday after a busy day of shopping/playgroup/housework (on my feet running about practically all day) but thought after a night's sleep I would feel ok today. But no, walking from the station to the office this morning I was almost limping! It's horrible. I've gone from feeling fine and dandy to now dreading work each week...

On the up side I should be meeting HR this week to discuss final leaving date for maternity leave - whoop!

hey girls! how is everyone? Iv got my 24 week app with the midwife at 3.. wonder what happens! wish i had another scan to see junior! :( x

Ah Crackers bless you….It might be worth trying an Osteopath? I’ve been going to one for years for lower back problems and she said the minute I get any hip/pelvis pain to go and see her and she will sort me out!! She said its very common in pregnancy and you don’t have to suffer with it…so that may be worth a go?

Ooh that’s exciting! Do you have a date in mind?

Ashbee – My 25 week appointment was very quick! They just gave me my Mat B form, tested urine and BP, measured size of bump and listened to heartbeat and that was pretty much it! they asked if I had any questions etc but I was only in about 10 minutes..They take more bloods at 28 weeks..

Hi All,

Sorry not been about but have not had internet and 2 weeks tomorrow past we moved house, not the best time to move but hey-ho it had to be done, had a bit of messing about getting my kids into the local school as they said no places but at the end of the day all turned out ok.

Im absolutely shattered after it all and to make things worse my section scar is now starting to cause me pain, a pulling, bruised stingy kind of pain, not nice.

hope everyone is well and bumpies are growing nicely. xx

Thanks Clare! I dont have a pee bottle woops lol last time i went with one and she said i didnt need it - chop and change their minds when they want! haha. looking forward to hearing juniors heart beat :) x

Oh that’s weird Ashbee, Ive had to take a sample every time! I guess all Midwives do things differently!
Yes its always lovely to hear the heartbeat : )

Ah Loch, that sounds pretty stressful! Glad it is all sorted now…
Ooh that doesn’t sound very pleasant..sounds like you need a bit of a rest!

Thanks Clare, ive felt fine until the last few days and is all flared up, so like you say, a bit of rest is needed.

Its a worrying expensive time having a baby but if we were to all sit down and work out the pro's and cons before hand i really dont thing any of us would ever have babies......Its the way of the world.....we need money to live as everything is so blooming expensive.

I had my 1st Glucose tolerance test last Tuesday and all came back fine, awaiting my next scan/consultant appointment and then my MW home visit on the Thursday where i was told my BP is starting to creep up which is not allowed to happen due to my history of Pre Eclampsia. Still getting worked up about whether il get my wanted c-section as dont want to go through the same as i did last time where i was booked for and induction then told by staff down the road saying i wasnt favorable examining me only for my waters to go half an hour later, cant of been that unfavorable and with Hospital im booked into being a 2hr+ drive away i want it all in place before hand. Hardly surprising my BP going up. Hopefully my next consultants appointment will be a bit more mind easing regards this.

Oh Loch, you've got a lot going on haven't you?! Easier said than done, but yes I think maybe you need to chill a bit for your blood pressure, if nothing else! Definitely try to get things sorted out honey, but try not to stress too much (again, I know from experience this is MUCH easier said than done!)

Clare - good call, thank you! If I don't get a chance beforehand I'll definitely be mentioning that to my midwife at my next appointment.

Ashbe - good luck! Mine was a sample, measured bump, asked routine questions (any swelling/pains etc, am I feeling baby move and so on) and listened to bubs heartbeat.

Crackers I know exactly what you mean about the hip/bum pain. I'm am in complete agony with every step I take and end up limping if I walk more than 5 mins. Spd is such a wide variety of symptoms and if you look on the baby centre website at pgp is says it is all back and bum pain like sciatica. Where as spd is front pain. Either way it sucks and I feel for you.

Loch luckily my section scar has been ok so far, hope it doesn't start to hurt. Glad your move went well and you got schools sorted out, I dread the day I need to move. Hope your bp stays stable and I don't see why they will turn you down for a c section, I've not known anyone have any issues with getting their elective section.

Have fun listening in to baby today Ashbee xx

Midwife went fine :) i always feels so rushed though shes always running late lol! Baby is measuring 25 weeks exactly so 3 days in front, asked if it was normal for him to be so active and she said yeah so im reassured! strong heartbeat :D x
