So this is the most STUPID thing ever to be upset about, but...

Me n hub spent aaaaaaaaages looking for a travel system that we both liked and fitted all our needs, we absolutely fell in love with the Mamas and Papas Switch and it was literally the only pram that we BOTH thought was right for us (hub refuses to have a three wheeler, we wanted a full travel system with the ability to put car seat on and off with one click, and wanted it to look semi traditional)

Anyway...the switch PERFECT!! Until I went out with my sister and baby niece, I was pushing her buggy while eating an ice cream and she said "that was one of the main reasons we wanted the single handle bar across the top instead of two individual ones, try pushing that one handed just using one side of it, it's impossible!!" Sure enough, I tried and just lost all control of the buggy.

Now it's sooooo stupid, but I just spent hours looking for a buggy that suits our needs AND has one handle bar and I just can't find one :( Can any of you suggest one at all?

Sorry for the overly emotional post about a pram!!! I guess this is what hormones does to us?!?! xxx

totally understand where you are coming from i fell in love with the pliko pramette but its just not sturdy enough imo to do stairs everyday as the 2 handle bars make it wobbly im going for a graco mirage cheap n chearfull travel system and getting a delux buggy for once worst of winter weather done you need to find a pram superstore and try things out

I know what you mean know. Prams I find most stressfull!

How about the mamas and papas ultima 8 in 1 instead, that's we're thinking of xx

This is what I just got - http://babyequipmentcomplete.com/main_site/main/index.php?pge=detail&sPartNo=791220422

The handles can be seperate, Or a single bar (there is an extra bit you can snap on) The seperate handles swivel aswell so its easy to push, and dead easy to take apart and put together, easy collapse (Lever is on handle) and really compact when its down.

Look around though because that one ranges from £500 to £300 New depending where you look, and thats new! Mine was second hand, £150.

Thanks so much ladies!!

Serenity Love - It's horrible when you have fallen in love with one isn't it :-( We're def planning on going to a big baby centre and testing some after my 20 week scan, was just so upset cause I'd fallen in love with the switch :-( Really do need to stop getting so emotional about things :-D

Yodabo, we love the ultima 8 in 1 pram and car seat - it's so simular to the switch, but it's the price that is the problem. With the switch, we could get pram, car seat, isofix base, changing bag and parasol for just under £700...with the ultima the only things we would use are the pram, car seat and carry cot which is £600 (i think?!) and then we would still need to buy the isofix base, changing bag and parasol, which all adds up :( I was seriously considering calling mamas and papas and asking if I can buy just the pram from the ultima 3 in one - then buy the car seat, isofix etc etc from the switch range. Not sure they would let me though!! Lol! Sorry - that was stupidly long!

Momma Kat - that is really lovely, and SUCH a good price!!! The Baby Farm shop is only 20 minutes from us as well, so will def check it out when we go and look, thank you!!!

Were looking at the Silver Cross Linear Freeway which has one handle and looks traditional and all together with the car seat is just over £500!! Only prob is were trying to work out how we can get it in my small car......

Yeah it is dear, that's why I'm hesitant! I liked the brown one as well and that puts the price up to £805 without the base for the car seat! Shocking.

Have you looked on the kiddicare website? There's some really cheap prams on there. Xx

we have gone for the silvercross 3d,
http://www.silvercross.co.uk/our-range/pram-systems/3D/
but my sil had a 1 bar handle one when she first had her little girl and now has a 2 handle-er and i didnt really notice a huge difference, yeh i go a bit off track when i had a 2 handle, but i cud do that with a 1 handle-er too!!

go with your instint, i have and love it, and to be honest, i dont think il be eating many ice creams in december when im pushing it anyway, but even in summer were women, we multi-task with 1 hand!!!

dont spend too much on a pram though we got the quattro 3 in 1 deluxe pram was amazing car seat pram with loads of lie back positions large shopping basket one handle etc was brill i would reccommend it only thing being when we started driving it took up the whole boot, we ended up buying him a wee stroller for £15 for around shopping centre etc as it folds down so small, so be craeful what size it goes to good luck xxx

Well its too late for us, we have order the mamas and papas switch, after like you spending weeks searching for the one that is just right. At first wanted a 'proper pram' and although they look nice are very bulky esp when turned into the pushchair. My friend had one and now her baby is 6 month she been and bought a buggy, says the pram turned pushchair is too heavy and bulky. So im sticking with the switch im afraid . . . x

We've just bought the iCandy peach, with carrycot bit and she threw in maxicosi car seat for free! We went to small local place rather than massive one, only because they have some great promotions on. Kind of their way of thanking customers I guess!

The MY4!! If you were going for a travel system you would have pushed baby around in the car seat then the My4 is perfect as the car seat just clips onto the frame like the quinny... We LOVE it and cant wait to get it. The pram and stroller are all in one part the seat just tilts depending on which you would like to use xx

Thanks so much for all the responces, will be busy googling all those prams tomorrow!! Who would have thought that with SO many prams out there - I'd struggle so much to find one I love!?! I was exactly the same with my wedding dress...seems I'm just more picky than I thought!!!

I could never control LO's pram with one hand either (2 handles) but found when the swivel wheels where on it was a hell of a lot easier to manage rather than the wheels that are locked into going forward only.. The pram is lovely.. I hope you find something that measures up to this one xx

Well, I took hub to Mothercare tonight because I was sick to death of the whole pram thing - not sure I could have coped with discussing it for another 10-15 weeks!! Amazingly - he fell in love with the MY3!!!!! This is from Mr I-Hate-Three-Wheeler-Prams!! I was sooooo happy because I think it's lovely. My problem now is that he wants to buy it straight away, so I now need to try and convince him that we should look at a few more before we decide to make sure there is not a better one - as it's a big purchase. Bless him, glad he's excited!!!

my3 was one of my choices its a lovely pram and great for the money did you see a colour you liked?

fab news x glad u managed to find one suitable its a real mine field

Hub liked the red, but I'm happy with just having a black one. I couldn't believe how easy it was to use, I absolutely fell in love! I'd seen it on the internet and clicked past it instantly everytime - looks SO much better in "real life"! So excited! xx

i love the red one i try it out in mothercare and like you said really easy to change to pram/pushchair
