Plus size mummies

Aquanatal might be ok I guess but I've been told swimming is basically out unless it is just gentle splashing because the water resistance against my ankle means the kicking motion is quite difficult and dangerous with my ankle as it has to work harder to kick than it does out of the water. Aquanatal where you stand up in the water might be ok and I could adapt some of the exercises as well I think if needed. I generally tend to eat quite big portions but of healthy foods but since I've been pregnant (3 weeks) I have gone off my food a bit and seem to be full up after just a few mouthfuls so fingers crossed that will help! lol! Hopefully they will see at my GP appointments / Midwife Appointments that I am mobile (I am a full time teacher so am constantly on my feet and work hard) and that I am not restricted too much by my weight. Just don't want the humiliation of being insulted by staff when I am so happy about this! x

Oh I see, I suppose that makes sense but yes maybe aqua natal may be ok then.

I know what you mean, I was really worried but as soon as I saw my midwife and realised she was roughly the same size as me I knew she couldn't really judge. When I was weighed I was cringing but she said its fine don't worry and really made me feel at ease. Will be a different story when I have to get my gut out for scan but will keep you posted with that too!!
