One born every minute

yea i know screaming wears you out - i have given birth.
i know it wasnt pain screaming, she clarely said she didnt feel anything.

i just think its funny that so many are takin the piss out of a woman going trough labour, i dont know, but if you guys says she is "fakin" or "puttin it on" then all i can say is you must have had easy labours as when i gave birth there wasnt a thought about what anyone else thought about me or "i better scream a little extra for attenton".

infact, i think she was very brave. if i ever get preg again i will be terrified for the birth

well i think she did put it on for the cameras ive done it 4 times and have never heard anything like that on the labour ward

I would be too embarrased to scream like she did. If I wanted to I would bury my head in a pillow. I don't want the mw to be rolling their eyes or laughing at me and I wouldn't want to scare any of the ladies on the ward.

The woman was clearly being dramatic, as she was screaming even after pain relief. I don't think she was putting it on per say, she was just bein over the top.

i could imagine hearing something like that would scare a 1st time mum lol id wanna cross my legs and never give birth pmsl there is no denying that it hurts and some feel it more than others....
exagerated was the word i should of used i bet if the camerea wasnt there she woulnt of been half as bad screaming wise im not saying she wasnt in pain, i grumble more when i get a migrane than i do labour but saying that i dont get gas and air for a migrane hee hee worst bit is the ring of fire at the end now even i could swear like mad through that but i dont ........now that bit hurts like mad

omg ive just remembered the ring of fire!!! oh my!!! everything tenses when i watch that program!! and also when you say ring of fire lol!!!

aww sorry i wont say it again but it is that bit id gladly leave out haha but at least you know you will have your baby in your arms real soon and when they say right dont push pant and all your body wants to do is push eeeeeeeeeeeeek  was different on my eldest ds they said dont push a minute his cord is round his neck after hearing that my contractions stopped for what felt like a lifetime (few minutes in real time) weird how some things can totally help you not push eh

you say the most silly things in labour too haha i remember sucking on the gas and air and noticed a phone number on the bit you suck on and it was a number from my old area where i used to live and i found it hilarious and i kept saying do i sound funny i dont sound right then i could hear a heartbeat and kept saying i can hear a heart beating can you and my dh was like no apparently the woman in the next room was on the moniter and i could hear it and that was just me on gas and air and diamorphine hee hee

I passed it to my husband and he had a chugg on it lol!!

yeah i let my dh have 1 go lol im ever so kind i didnt want to give it up at the end but they said i had to because i was that drugged i couldnt feel the contractions gas and air must work really well for me because i could feel them good and proper when i stopped on it i think there is a technique to chugging on it because it wasnt that effective on my 1st birth

The last time i watched this series i looked back with fondness about having my son. This time i'm pregnant & it's filling me with dread. I had loads of complications during Joseph's birth & the only time i yelled a bit was during the ring of fire stage - i also had to be cut so it was pretty uncomfortable.
I was induced & just had some pethidine at the start & then just gas & air. If i can avoid the large needle in the spine i will at all costs!!!
