October 2018 Testing Thread

I will try not to symptom spot either this cycle but it's so hard not too!
I think that when you want something so bad every little cramp and cm is a sign!
I really hope this is the one for us ladies! Fx!x

This is true. The month I did conceive I had no symptoms at all. But then I had a mc at 6 weeks. The day I found out i was pregnant I started with horrendous cramping in tummy and down my legs. Midwife told me that was normal.. I don't think the severity of the cramps was normal to be honest.

But yeah I will try not to symptom spot. Hard not to though

I’m going to try and join both of you in no symptom spotting this month too! Although I find it hard not to over-analyse my chart.

House sale seems to be back on, we got our solicitor to send a letter and that seems to have moved things on again so hopefully I’ll have a house to pack up which should keep me too busy to symptom spot :D

Thank you Crumble :hugs:

I tell myself that every month and then there’s always something to stress me out, I’m not good at being calm but I keep trying.

Lovely temp jump this morning so provided it stays up, all signs point to me being 1 dpo and officially in the tww! Again

Thank you Mystery26 :hugs:

Hi ladies, can I please have the 6th xx good luck and :dust: to all of you xx

I’ll try that app Crumble, thank you!

I used Ovia last month and I didn’t find it fantastic I have to say, FF is still much better for me. Do you temp?

Welcome TS1982, baby dust to you too! :hugs:

Yes I do! I do use another app since I started TTC and I found it very good, it is called Ovulation calculator, always right on my ovulation date as it is always been confirmed by OPK and temp...but I started to try Ovia too after I used Ovia pregnancy in August when I had my BFP that unfortunately ended in a chemical pregnancy....I did really like the Ovia pregnancy app, it was so informative and you could see in images the embryo development and had a lots of interesting articles and suggestions......I can't wait to use it again

Vespa, I dont envy you on the house move but it will work out in the end and all be worth it. We moved in December, literally had one week notice and couldn't get time off work so had to move in 3 days later. We got the keys, came and had a look for half and hour then I got changed and went on a late shift. Getting in was hrs work but we love our house. I went to the diy store to get a plug and came back with a massive christmas tree :)

Funny thing last night. Husband asked me when my period is due. I asked him why he wanted to know, he said because I just want us to get pregnant. So sweet. So I asked how much he wanted to know cycle wise then gave him a brief overview of a month. Wk 1, period. Wk 2 get on it! Wk 3&4 waiting. He seemed happy with that, lol.

I think he's thinking about it all much more than he let's on really. I'm Lucky I think.

Thanks Radleycat, fingers crossed. Hopefully we’ll have a little more notice than you did but OH is away for nearly a week at the start of October with work so I could end up doing a lot of it myself, I don’t mind though, as you said, it’ll be worth it to have our own lovely place. Now just to fill some of the empty rooms with babies

Aww, that’s so sweet. I’m lucky too, my OH has always been 100% into it but he does get more curious about the temping and timing as time goes on. He knows almost as much as me at this stage :D

I use Ovia but I have to be honest, I don't take a lot of notice of the dates it gives me. I use it mainly to log any symptoms and my periods. Just so I can go back and have a look if I need to

I use an app called clue and do as you do jellybean86 just log symptoms. I’ve been listing to a lot of fertility podcasts and I’ve learned to take note of your own body more, such as CM etc! It’s all very interesting and gutted I’m only just learning this now when ttc!!!! X

Ok, Ovia changed my ovulation date again to today! I been doing OPK and the line I am getting are so faint so definitely negative, so i don't think Ovia is right but it is confusing me! Also how can I ovulate two days after AF is finished?! :eh:

Lol no idea I’d ignore the app and go with the opks tbh

Morning ladies! I would ignore the app also. I relied far too much on mine the first few months and I am now sure I missed ovulation because of if it. You could ovulate sooner or later for all kinds of reasons that the app won’t know about! Listen to your body & opks maybe!
I have done a couple of opks even though I said I wouldn’t but just to help my own mind. My surge is later than it has been previously I normally have a positive by now, but it’s getting there. I have been drinking a lot more water this week as I realised that I hardly drink any! So I’m not sure If that has diluted my results maybe, lol. Anyway I’m just going to continue DTD ever couple of days. But my app says I’m meant to ovulate today! I don’t think that’s true.... I’m CD14 today.

Yes, I do think to relay on our body is the best way tbh. I will try to BD every other day and see what will happen.....I really hope this is the month lol
Yes, drink a lot, it helps the CM and the swimmers!!
