liz85 - if you tell your employer you are pregnant any time off you have for pregnancy related illnesses do not go against your usual absence / trigger points xx its worth telling them!

Yes I’ll say to them. Probably best telling them sooner than later incase I am off x

I told my manager today. I was really sick this morning for the first time so I wanted to tell her in case I kept darting out of the office plus my first appointment with the midwife is Friday and it’s at an inconvenient time so I’d rather her know why I’m out for so long. She did seem a bit confused about why I was telling her so early but to be honest not telling her was stressing me out more than anything else. I’m wishing time away for that first scan and fingers crossed everything’s fine so I can finally tell people. The past few weeks have gone so slowly.

Yes it’s very slow. Seems to drag a bit lol your just right telling them. I think some places do a risk assessment aswell. It’s good aswell incase you need to go grab a quick bite to eat if your feeling sick. I haven’t had to phone in yet but it’s tough x

Hi Melanie, my tiredness comes and goes too...it's weird. Sorry about the headche and nausea...that doesn't sound fun.

My midwife appointment got canceled today and remade for a week tomorrow. Was disappointed. They've also messed up 2 referrals for blood tests, and made my scan for nearly 14 weeks.

Am so bloated I'm not at all hungry, which is weird as at the weekend I couldn't stop eating. I'm so bloated I look very pregnant!

My bloat is ridiculous!! I look 6 months gone! I'm really suffering with nausea, only been sick once, but the constant nausea is awful (hate moaning, but I know you will all understand). Xx

Sorry you are nauseous...mine is worse with certain foods like processed meat. Couldn't resist some sausages yesterady and now very queasy!

I can't pin point mine to a certain food, but it does seem much worse when I'm hungry or tired....which is all the time atm  xx

Has anyone found anything that helps settle the nausea. Just turned six weeks and it has been terrible today. Don’t know how I’m going to function at work tomorrow if I feel this sick!

I have been using the Sea bands, they seem to take the edge off for me. I find eating little and often helps too xx

I’ve too found the sea bands take the edge off and also need to eat little and often as I feel so much more nauseous on an empty stomach! The only drinks I can stomach atm is fresh orange or pineapple juice.
Had my first midwife appointment today... she was absolutely lovely, really listened to everything I said and felt really at ease which was nice. I was in there for over 2 hours! Lots of questions with blood taken etc... I also just got my 12 week scan appointment through the post which is 9th may x

Not sure...I think it's around 9am. It's at 13 wks 5 days, which is a bit late. It feels like so long to wait! I don't think it will feel real until I see the picture! x

same here, carbs carbs and carbs

fresh cold water often settles my stomach too, but bread has been the main thing and i am never usally a big bread eater!

luckily its wearing off for me now at 10 weeks but comes back with a vengeance if i let myself get too hungry

I just took two pregnancy tests and they've come up negative...totally freaked out.

I'm 9 weeks. They are very cheap tests but I got a faint line when I first found out.

Was there any reason why you repeated the test?

Can you buy the clear blue test so your not relying on seeing a line?

Yes, I bled two weeks ago and thought everything was still fine but then had some mucus last weekend a bit like EWCM and suddenly panicked that maybe I'd lost it.

I still feel so bloated and like there's a lot of pressure down there. Reading other forums it does look like the hcg can drop off round about now.

Maybe check with gp if you are worrying - did you have a scan when you had the bleeding xx
