Hi ladies,

I've handed my notice into my current employer - my last thread explains all!

I've now had 3 emails regarding interviews all over the next couple of weeks! Woohoo! It feels like my life is finally on the right track - I'm so excited! Here's hoping if I have a 'glow' then it shows when I'm in the interview!!

Only concern is - I don't need to tell them at the interview that I am pregnant do I?

You have no legal obligation to tell them you are pregnant until you are 25 weeks as far as I know - but you will prob want to tell them once you start so you get your antenatal appointments off

you dont have to tell them and they wont have to give you maternity pay i dont think tho you should be able to get smp.

Thanks ladies! I have an interview today - so I'm pretty nervous! I'm mindset on the fact that if I don't get it then I'll kind of be glad as I won't need to explain the pregnancy. But if I do then more pennies for the wee one! xx

Not sure about Mainland uk cos think the law is different here but I have to tell them by 15 weeks before the baby is due, So 25 same as Jens said and you will only be entitled to 26 weeks maternity and not the full 39
